Right in time for Vivid 2018 and Christmas party planning, 55 George has been unveiled in the heart of the Rocks. <\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>For a little while now, the rooftop pool deck atop Holiday Inn Old Sydney has been one of the city&#8217;s true hidden treasures. In an unlikely setting, one finds an incredible view, a stylish and unique setting, and plenty of experience hosting events.<\/p>\n<p>Now the space is hurtling out into the world on its own, with a rebrand, a spruce up, and a brand new identity: 55 George.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/venuenow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/set-up-5-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"55 George Sydney\" width=\"847\" height=\"566\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With its new identity, 55 George is now also sporting revamped branding, and a revived functions kit. The team have partnered with new music, entertainment and styling partners, and injected the already-stylish space with new furniture and decorations, including a fresh and vibrant green wall. <\/p>\n<p>The new-look space was in full flight during its recent launch &#8211;\u00a0the vibe was &#8216;tropical luxe&#8217;, and the evening was delightfully warm (with summer having stuck around for a little longer than expected this year).<b><\/b><\/p>\n\t<p><img src=\"https:\/\/venuenow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/event-entertainers-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"55 George Sydney\" width=\"784\" height=\"524\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/venuenow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/accolade-3-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"55 George Sydney\" width=\"746\" height=\"498\" \/><\/p>\n<p>55 George&#8217;s launch featured live music, food stations, and some delightful new drops from Accolade Wines. And of course, the view from the Rocks across over to the Harbour was a show-stopper. <\/p>\n<p>According to the team at 55 George, the space lends itself particularly well to corporate events that need a spark of something different. Client &#8216;thank you&#8217; events, end of financial year parties, cocktail functions, Christmas parties.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/venuenow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/guests-4-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"55 George Sydney\" width=\"885\" height=\"591\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The space is understated, far from over the top. There&#8217;s plenty of greenery to complement that new green wall, along with wooden floors below, a marquee above, with festoon lighting for when the sun goes down. The space is stylish, while letting the view do the talking. And why wouldn&#8217;t you, when it&#8217;s there and looking breathtaking? It&#8217;s definitely a memorable spot.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/venuenow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/set-up-7-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"55 George Sydney\" width=\"846\" height=\"565\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Jenny Quinn of the 55 George team notes that the Christmas period is already incredibly popular. &#8220;We still have dates available for Christmas, but it&#8217;s getting busy. The venue is quite central, which makes it easy to get to and from. Plus, there are a number of great after party options in the Rocks at the moment. It&#8217;s an exciting time to be in the Rocks!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In a stroke of excellent timing, Vivid Sydney is about to kick off for 2018 &#8211; and of course, 55 George boasts a truly enviable vantage point to take in the lit up cityscape. In fact, the venue boasts direct views of the Opera House.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/venuenow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/image-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"55 George Sydney\" width=\"897\" height=\"599\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In Jenny&#8217;s opinion this year is definitely the time to make the most of the festival. &#8220;It&#8217;s Vivid&#8217;s 10th birthday, which means the festival will be going all out.&#8221; The team&#8217;s recommendation?
