My recent stay revealed a notable deviation from the expected 4-star standards, particularly in the cleanliness of the toilets, which showed signs of green mold. Despite using the “Please Clean the Room” sign, there were instances where the room wasn’t attended to. However, I must acknowledge the consistently helpful reception staff, which added a positive touch to the overall experience. Addressing these cleanliness issues is crucial for the hotel to align with its expected standards.

Great Hotel Rooms are a decent size with a kitchenette and provision for cooking. There is a pool for relaxing after a long day. The view from the balcony is the Mt Panorama race circuit beautiful at day time but dead dark at night. The location is fantastic close to the Bathurst city centre. The parking is secure, though narrow a bit. The bed side lamp is cool.

Rooms are nice and comfortable. Housekeeping services were good. The breakfast buffet can have some additions. Thumbs up for staff at reception, housekeeping and restaurant. Only thing that was an off-putting were the spider webs in one off the rooms, which was removed later on request.

Where do I start. We booked a 3 bed apartment for 1 night as we came from Sydney for a football match. We checked in and walked to the room. We found food on the carpet with bugs around it, then more food, food under the sofa, two large bugs, dirty fridge, bugs on the bed, stain walls, dirty floors. So called the manager who was very helpful and apologetic. He changed up to another room and when we checked the cot for the baby, the sheets had stains on them. Furniture was also grubby. Staff were friendly but the cleanliness of the hotel was very disappointing, did not feel comfortable at all. Must be great on race day when a number beers in but would not stay here again. While the hotel boasts an amazing view and a decent included breakfast, the level of service was disappointing. Throughout my stay, there were continuous mix-ups with the booking, and basic amenities like towels and toilet paper were often forgotten. Some bedrooms had dirty sheets left behind, and a few personal bathroom items went missing after room cleaning. It felt as though the hotel might be relying too heavily on its location and not enough on service quality, creating an exhaustive experience where I had to chase after staff for basic needs – the opposite of the relaxation expected in a getaway. This hotel has potential, but significant improvements in service are necessary for it to be a place people want to return to.
