Room 403 I asked for a single king and I received two single beds put together. I had an incredibly uncomfortable sleep with a hump you n the middle. The pillows were not to standard as they were quite low and also uncomfortable. A sorry is not enough. I’m don’t recommend this overnight stay. I hope others have had a better experience. No room service. No food available. Fridge was empty. No parking.

This hotel is a hidden gem. After reading all the adverse comments, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived there. The room was comfortable and clean with a great view of the Pittwater. Buffet breakfast was very nice, which also had a great view. Parking is not so good but I easily found good parking in the street.

The whole building inside and out looked tired and in need of an upgrade. Car park is ok if you have a small car as it is very tight. We did have a good night's sleep, and the bed was comfy.

I stayed at the Newport and it was disgusting. 26/8/23-28/8/23 to attend my granddaughter’s wedding 27/8/23 at the Dunes Palm Beach. The room was damp mouldy and dirty. There was no restaurant open I couldn’t even get a decent coffee. The cleaners were helpful and tried to help but there was nothing they could do except bring clean towels coffee sachets and little plastic tubs of “milk”. I couldn’t get anything to eat Friday night or Saturday morning. Thankfully I left early Saturday for the wedding and was able to get some coffee and food. The views are beautiful and it’s such a shame to see this beautiful site wasted on such a neglected “motel”. I returned Saturday night and checked out early Sunday morning without anything to eat or drink until my family and I left the motel and went for a lovely brunch at Palm Beach. This motel could be really beautiful with a big renovation and management who cared. The pool barbecue area was locked and out of service the grounds were dirty and neglected rubbish strewn around including cigarette butts and discarded cups etc. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone and I’d never ever book again. I actually felt sad in that lonely dirty dark dank room where the shower leaked all over the floor and the water temperature was hard to regulate. The cleaners cleaned daily but the dirt was deep and mouldy. The carpet and tiles needed replacing. The entire room needed to be completely stripped and new flooring tiles wardrobe and kettle cups etc and new everything installed . The wedding was beautiful everything was perfect except staying at the Mirage Newport. It actually spoiled my weekend. The desk staff didn’t care once they took the balance they weren’t around. Don’t waste your money book somewhere else. I was so disappointed when I was so excited about the very special event I was there to celebrate. I enjoyed everything except for that horrible motel Mirage Newport. I don’t know how they stay in business. It’s sad and depressing and it could be so special. I don’t know why you said the restaurant was open when I stayed there the cleaners told me about the restaurant and I went to there. The doors were locked nothing was available. I’m not ever booking again and I’m not recommending your disgusting motel so there’s no point in communicating with you. I just want to put that part of the weekend behind me. I’ve stayed in many hotels motels and B&Bs all over the world yours is the worst I’ve ever stayed in so stop sending me emails I won’t be booking again

Travelled from Perth, arrived late and the front desk could not find our booking as the registration form had my name and another persons contact details and email. Not a great welcome. Room is basic and fairly small with no blockout curtains to the balcony. Buffet Breakfast is basic, not real milk so coffee was undrinkable. Buffet hot food was cold. Asked for a late checkout of 12noon, this was denied as the reception lady said “as it is a Friday the weekend guests all like to come early” so I would not recommend the hotel for a holiday stay, business ok. But the Newport Arms, Merivale was a real treat to find across the road. Great location for food and beverage with four food outlet to choose from and a fantastic view of the Prince Albert Yacht Club.
