Golden Sheaf has been around forever. Fortunately, it has remained consistently good. I recently had lunch there and was pleasantly surprised by both food and atmosphere. We were welcomed by the friendly staff and attended to quickly. The menu was varied with usual lunch fare and absolutely delicious. We had 3 main courses, all delicious, which we shared and washed down with great wine. Prices are really reasonable, so a pleasant and welcome surprise. We sat outside, a particularly pleasant area, and enjoyed the atmosphere. Parking is a breeze as the venue is located opposite Woolworths carpark. Well worth a visit.

👀 Popular spot for lunch and dogs. Huge pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of food and drinks, classic pub food. 💥 The vibe is friendly and welcoming. Super popular this place can pack out! 💁🏼♀️ The service is minimal contact, no table service etc. 🍴 I ordered the salmon for lunch, which was cooked perfectly and served with a delicious lemon butter sauce. The salmon was flaky and moist on the inside, and the skin was crispy on the outside. The lemon butter sauce was tangy and creamy, and it complemented the salmon perfectly. I also brought my dogs, and they were welcome to sit at our feet while we ate. The staff were very accommodating and made sure that my dogs had plenty of water. ✨ The Golden Sheaf is a great option for a casual lunch with friends or family. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed.

Lovely old pub with little street appeal, but once you enter very nice, open & airy especially the beer garden. Dined in the beer garden - meals & drinks seem expensive compared to other pubs. There was a normal menu & choices & some specials. I had a salad & very tasty & appealing to eye. Orders at the bar - staff were ok but not friendly & overly helpful/responsive. Inside were various other bars including pokies - found pokies unpleasant where smoking inside was still allowed. Didn't see any specific parking, so on street or in multilevel carpark at rear.

The Golden Sheaf in Central East Sydney is a fantastic choice. Although it leans towards the pricier side, the culinary delights it offers are undeniably worth the cost. The ambiance is delightful, providing a pleasant backdrop for your dining experience, even though it tends to be quite bustling. For those seeking top-notch cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere near the city, the Golden Sheaf is a definite winner

Came for a team lunch and the food and service was amazing! I was going to order something small from the main menu but their Tuesday specials include a Burger (any burger from the menu) plus chips and a drink for $20. I couldn’t skip past it and glad I choose the burger. The chips were tasty and so was the burger than comes with 2 sauces. Customer service was also fantastic! The waitress at the food ordering counter was super nice and helpful, the guys bringing the drinks and lunches out were also champs bringing us extra cutlery and napkins etc. to our table. It was also toasty and warm in their undercover area - lunch was perfect!
