We came for a work conference from WA. The location seems nice, the food was good, the room was clean and self contained which was nice as we could go down to the shops and buy food and cater for ourselves. The room was spacious and we enjoyed the spa bath, the shower being proper sized was nice. We found the layout a little confusing of the hotel, and having to navigate to the breakfast area across the road in rain was a bit of a downer ( not the hotels fault about the rain ) reception sorted us out with umbrellas which was appreciated ! The only downside we had was a rude staff member at the bar who was quite nasty to my partner who used the word ‘ tab ‘ instead of ‘ room ‘ when it came to charging for drinks not supplied in the beverage package to the point that we decided to leave the function and hotel early as she was quite upset at how she was spoken to.. Despite that, our experience was good, rooms need a little maintenance and attention as the flooring is getting a little worn in the room we were in and the common area carpets were a bit dirty I think to high foot traffic and doors being kept open ?

Had a great time here for new years with my sister. Loved the hotel, staff were great and facilities were fine. We did notice that although our room was really clean, the carpets through to the rooms (communal areas and corridors) were pretty filthy.

Good location for beach, shops, restaurants. Rooms are dated, but adequate and clean. Small TVs (not smart) with bedroom one damaged (lines running through it). Bar signed as open until 6pm. Shut at 3:30pm Thursday and 5:00pm Friday - disappointing.

We are currently visiting to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday. We booked a pool view room to make it easier on us to be able to take it in turns to visit the pool with our daughter. When we arrived we dealt with a very serious and not overly friendly staff member is reception and no mention to advise our room was unavailable. Upon first inspection of our room we realised we didn’t in fact have a pool view room, rather a car park view room. When we went back to reception, the same staff member told us with lack of enthusiasm that “our room had been upgraded to ocean view”. Surprised, we replied with, “you can’t see the ocean from our room”. Either management haven’t visited the rooms since the trees have grown or they believe the slither of horizon classes as “ocean view”. This is the second time we have had a rather less than pleasant room view staying here and we won’t be returning after this visit. We spoke with their reservations manager prior to booking as our last stay, the room was not what we had booked and she helped us compare between Peppers and Mantra as we are Accor members. We decided to revisit Mantra with the benefit of the doubt, our last stay was during Covid. The AM compensated us with a $9 bottle of wine and $200 food and beverage voucher to spend during our stay. Surprisingly, upon first visit to the Bar within Mantra, it’s closed! Not sure how they can’t have any rooms available when we booked and paid for well in advance of our expected trip. Beyond disappointing with the lack of service and communication. We won’t be back and will be advising Accor directly of our concerns as well.

We stayed here last night. My check in experience was wonderful. However at 1:45am & then again at 4:10am the fire alarm & evacuation alert woke us up. Upon check out it was like reception was oblivious to what had happened. When I rang back to request a tax invoice I mentioned this and the duty manager said, oh that happens sometimes. I won’t be staying here again.
