Highly recommend! What an amazing experience overall. We had our wedding at the Gables on Finch with the ceremony in the garden and the reception inside the house. Everything about the wedding, including the lead up, was done with precision. We dealt with Simon who went above and beyond to give us the most special day. Aside from this our guests loved every minute. The food was delicious, the service exceptional and the whole ambiance was warm and inviting. Thank you Simon for catering to all our needs.

We cannot thank Gables on Finch, and Simon, enough for such a wonderful wedding! We had a garden ceremony and a gorgeous reception in the ballroom. Simon and his staff made the day absolutely perfect — helpful, supportive and kind, our wedding day went without a hitch and looked so beautiful too.

Lovely place for a wedding. Food was very nice. The garden is pretty and we had canapes there before going into the reception. Very nice staff. Lovely setting inside- very old worldy- lovely crystalware on the tables

Had our vow renewal yesterday. We were the only party there and there was 15 of us all together. We had the ceremony in the garden and high tea in the peacock room. The surroundings were lovely, and having the whole estate to ourselves was fantastic. However the service was not at a level one would expect. We had booked the venue a year in advance and had coordinated any extras with Simon at least a month out. We had requested that guests received a glass of champagne on arrival and that they should be offered either alcoholic or non-alcoholic champagne. This did not happen. And apparently vacuuming the entry hall after the guests had arrived. Also when we asked the waitress for a glass of non-alcoholic champagne she advised they had none. We also had one guest with dietary requirements, which we were assured would be catered for. They were not catered for. I also requested that the top tier of the high tea not be sweets as we had a large wedding cake. I asked that the top tier be replaced with more savoury options, which was agreed to. However on the day the top tier had sweets. We wanted to play our Spotify wedding song list, which we were advised we could use the venues sound system. Unfortunately the sound system is so old you couldn’t hook up your phone except via 3.5mm jack and thus the music kept cutting out. Feedback I got from the guests were that they found the waitress to be abrasive and dismissive. She was asked by one group of people for some coffee 4 times and they never got it. You could really feel she did not want to be there and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Finally at exactly 4.00pm the staff turned off the air conditioners (it was a 37 degree day) in the venue whilst the party was still going on. This caused us and our guest to feel we should leave immediately. So whilst the venue was lovely and the food was nice the service and lack of follow through with agreed upon requests made the whole day fall short of my expectations.
