I stay at the service apartment. Room is very large and spacious. It can house up to 7 persons comfortably. The balcony is so dusty that it cannot be used. The view is decently ok. Kitchen is basic with some pots and pans. The reception is manned 24 hours opposite the road the Best Western motel. Swimming pool, heated jacuzzi and steam rooms are at the motel side.

During my stay, I encountered what could have been an intriguing entomology experience right in my room. Cockroaches were spotted roaming the carpet, while spiders made themselves comfortable on the bed. However, when I raised these concerns, the response was unexpectedly dismissive. The hotel staff insisted that what I witnessed was merely a hallucination, firmly closing the door on any possibility of a refund. This peculiar interaction with the 'friendly' hotel personnel added a surreal twist to my visit.

Will never stay there again. Stated had things that weren’t available. Restaurant wasn’t open even though website said was. When we requested a change of room we went from a Queen bed to two single which we didn’t want. We have photos of how bad the room was. Window cell had dead bugs and rubber band. Bathroom door rotted and door handle was loose. Power points inside cupboards which if you have trouble bending you couldn’t use. Electric wires tapped outside the wall appears to be dangerous.

Wanted a couple of nights of inexpensive accommodation within the area whilst visiting Melbourne. I have previously stayed at this location and found it quite central to friends and family. This visit, the room smelt dusty, the carpets were stained, and the room was completely outdated. I just didn't feel clean. I checked in around mid-night so I wasn't going to change the room and was out and about on the second day until after midnight. On two occasions staying at The Tudor, I have had to chase a so called 'pre-authorisation' of $100 to be refunded. I wonder how many customers they have caught on this. When asked about their procedure of 'pre-authorisation', they couldn't really respond with a decent answer.

I’ve never had a worse accommodation than staying at Tudor Lodge Box Hill apartments. The balcony had not been cleaned in months with dirt and cobwebs clustered all over its corners and ledges. Worst was the soaking wet rug in the lounge which when I lifted it revealed a couple of metres of yellow wet fungus oozing up from the tiles. I complained to Reception staff who promised to look into it and phone me. I’ve rung twice since and been fobbed off. I’m still waiting on a promised call.
