We had our wedding reception at L'unica on the 12th January 2019 and we were so, so impressed as were our guests. We had a four course dinner service for 150 guests, and everyone "complained" that they couldn't get through all of their food. We actually told people not to bother eating breakfast because the quantities were so generous. We were all very happy with the amount of food as well as the quality, and we were so thankful that Mel and the team catered to all the dietary requirements listed (we had quite a few guest with allergies, intolerances, and who were vegan and/or vegetarian). I asked one particular guest who happens to be vegan and asked if she felt satisfied with what she received, she said was very happy and her food preferences were well thought out and catered to. The venue itself presents very well and there was more than enough space for Greek and Serbian dancing, for a giant photobooth, and for our DJ to set up his equipment. Mel and Nina, the owners, were 100% helpful and upfront from the start and were so easy to talk to and to work with. I could write pages and pages singing L'unica's praises. Located adjacent to the Tullamarine Freeway, Lunica Receptions is part of the local Italian community centre, with several seperate function areas included within it. Lunica is around the back of the large 2 story building set in a huge carpark that surrounds the entire building complex and next to a sports oval. Outside is bland and not at all elegant or imposing. The interior however is quite elegant and 300-400 people comfortably fit with a large dance floor and 2 raised band podiums or bridal table/stage areas. Staff are plentiful and friendly with most, if not all speaking Italian.

absolutely a fantastic and affordable venue to have any event !! Lâ Unica recently hosted my wedding in May this year! I must say myself and my husband and all my guestâs that attended were all very please with the food and the service. Mel was an absolute superstar to deal with easy going and very accomodating! The best thing about LâUnica compare to all these other wedding venues is you see what you get, no hidden cost !! Thanks so much for making our big day/night easy and enjoyable! đ

Never had a decent meal here. Tastes so bland and not cooked properly. One of our meals had a hair in it. Made to feel like I was a burden and treated poorly when I asked for alcohol (which I had to ask multiple times). Staff seemed confused and disorganised. Avoiding this place from now on, doesnât matter what event is held here
