Steak was horrible! Both our steaks tasted like fish for some reason. The steak was undercooked we ordered medium but it was more rare with blood all over the plate. The salad that it came with also had a weird flavour. Hand cut chips were great. When adding sides it’s not really value for money. Better off trying another pub.

We expected more for this place. Service was slow (and always apologetic) and the food was lacking substance for the prices we paid. The garlic prawns were overcooked and therefore mushy, and unfortunately my gut hasn't been feeling 100% since. 😐 We paid $42 for some (thick) slices of duck, jus and some pickled grapes. I felt like a few greens or something else on the plate would have added a bit more value. We also ordered the tomato salad for another cool $20, but as per other offerings it was just a few quarters of tomato, with the lightest drizzle of oil/vinegar. And then onto the s'mores, I was pretty excited about this until it came out cold. The homemade Graham cracker was somewhat inedible, unless one had a chainsaw or teeth made of gold...

We ordered the 4 meal set menu. Great food, well presented and good mixture of texture, colours and tastes. Nice staff but ... how slow!! 1h15min wait between the second course and the 3rd! The couple behind is decided to leave half way through... The staff was apologetic but that's really too long. Really disappointing.

A local gem of a venue. Friendly, welcoming service and delicious food. There were some standout dishes; the tender chicken, the fresh oysters with kombu pearls, and the house-made chorizo. Wines were interesting and well paired as well. Perfect place for a group dinner.

A much needed wine bar in Ascot Vale! The food is unreal and they have a fantastic selection of wine. Staff are really friendly and the venue has a great atmosphere. Cant wait to visit again!
