We'll definitely be back next time we're in Melbourne hopefully on a weekend too the live music put us right back in New Orlean! Wasn't quite new Orleans spice level but the hot sauce was amazing and helped heat it up while also being mild enough for our friend who'd never had Cajun food before.

Cajun restaurants are hard to come by in Australia, and the Moldy Fig doesn't disappoint. The food is outstanding, and if you come at the right time, you'll be treated to live jazz while you eat. I highly recommend the gumbo. I'm no Cajun, but I like to cook my own gumbos and they still aren't anywhere near as good as the ones at the Moldy Fig.

Didn’t know what to expect but what a wonderful meal! I dare say that grilled prawns were one of the best I have had in Melbourne. Corn bread chilli is a must try (loved the garlic version too!). Lamb ribs were nice and tender, fried cauliflower was crispy and all the sauces were amazing! We had pecan & cinnamon scroll and sticky date pudding for dessert and it was a perfect way to end the meal. Hillary made us feel very welcome and made it all even nicer! Will be back for sure!

Very nice food. The staff is super friendly, and there was a live band playing when we visited, which was lovely. We ordered a vegetarian banquet, which is a great way to try a bit of everything (loved the southern style cobs in particular!).

The food was OK! I only came here due to a group decision. Was super quiet had only the 5 of us in the place, we all had the jazz it up a little banquet. I enjoyed the rice style dishes but the meats after were too much for me. It's not my style of food overall, so others might like it so visit as you will.
