Where do I even begin? I made a booking for 12 people weeks in advance only to arrive and find a table set up with just 8 seats. I had to speak with two different staff members and their solution was to add another table that was a completely different height and shape, hardly ideal for a group celebration. When I made the booking I clearly stated it was for a birthday. I’m not sure why they even ask that question, as there was absolutely nothing special done to acknowledge the occasion. On top of that they placed us on the dance floor, and not even an hour into our booking we were told all the tables in that area were being removed. This happened while my friends were still eating. I had to once again raise concerns with another staff member, who eventually relocated us but we ended up being split between two separate tables. As if that wasn’t enough, when I finally thought I’d be able to relax and enjoy my night, I asked for the birthday cake I had brought with me only to discover it had been given to someone else. The staff didn’t check, confirm a name or ask for a table number they just handed my cake to someone who was leaving the bar! I had to speak to another three or four more staff members before getting any answers. While the manager did offer immediate compensation for the lost cake, the entire experience was far more stressful than it should have been. It’s a real shame because the venue is beautiful, the food was great, and the drinks were reasonably priced. But the lack of organization and poor communication among staff completely ruined what should have been a special evening. I spent more than half my birthday dealing with unnecessary issues instead of enjoying time with my guests.
I love this place! I'm definitely older than most customers, but I really love the ambiance, the food, the facts that there's so much to do (games, karaoke, isolated tables vs. Dancefloor). It's really cool! Don't choose the game night to have a quiet chat with friends, but otherwise, enjoy the place!!
Absolutely disgraceful experience at Goros. I tried to enter to see my wife, and the power-tripping bouncers decided to kick me out because they thought I was stumbling. Apparently, in their expert medical opinion, that meant I was too “drunk” to enter. News flash: a slight misstep doesn’t mean someone is intoxicated The attitude from security was beyond arrogant—condescending, rude, and completely unprofessional. They didn’t listen, didn’t care, and seemed more interested in flexing their authority than actually managing the venue properly. I’ve been to plenty of bars and clubs, and I’ve never seen a place run by such an incompetent, self-important bunch of wannabe cops. The real kicker? Once they decide you’re “too drunk,” there’s no discussion, no reasoning with them. You’re just out, no matter how calm, coherent, or reasonable you try to be. It’s like dealing with a brick wall—except this brick wall sneers at you and enjoys ruining your night. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like garbage for no reason. Absolute joke of a venue.
Went there with 12 friends for my 40th. I had a great time due to my friends but the service and venue were a shambles. Due to their policies for booking I was not able to book a dinner space and then a karaoke room so had to book them under different names. There was no one available to show us to our booked table- once someone interested appeared we got shown to a location with a range of tables and were instructed to join our own tables together. At eight when karaoke started we went to our designated room (as instructed by one staff member who was very surly) and when we made it to the right location were then interrogated about our booking my another staff member. The karaoke didn’t work so we all had to vacate the room whilst this was fixed and were told we would all get complimentary drinks. Which did not happen. This took 30 minutes of our booked time. At the end of the session no one was waiting and also due to our session being shortened due to the technical issues I went to the bar where I was ignored by a number of staff. Finally the very surly interrogating staff member said our booking was over; he took convincing to let us continue ordering their issue made us miss time. This was a group of 12 buying drinks in the room… surely business is wanted? Also- women double check that there is toilet paper in the stalls as there was not for some toilets. Pretty gross! I had actually called to see whether j could book back to back karaoke sessions, explaining the reasoning behind it. The manager lady I spoke to could not have given a damn. I won’t be back.
