Lovely accomodation. We had a 2 bedroom suite and could see the pool, the balcony was lovely to sit on. The 2 black plastic recliners have just got some sun damage and are frail so we didn't want to sit on them. Very central location and welcoming staff.
We were given a dirty "ocean view room" with no ocean view. Finger prints everywhere, food stains on the furniture, dishes in the dishwasher, and who knows what on the toilet. It took two attempts for housekeeping to make it something barely passable to stay in. Completely unacceptable for the price paid.
Paid $440/night for 3 nights in a two bedroom oceanview apartment. Very misleading room type as 1) we had a view of the car park, with a tiny little glimpse of the ocean off in the distance between trees if you stood in a particular place on the balcony, and 2) we were not given a two bedroom apartment but a one bedroom apartment with an adjoining (not even interconnecting!) hotel room. This was not suitable for us as we were travelling with two small children (under 5). We only had enough dining chairs and lounge space for 3 people when there were 5 of us travelling so we had to take turns! Reception was a construction site with seemingly no concern for safe noise levels. Pool gate does not comply with Australian standards as it does not self close and was regularly left open accidentally by guests. Was told by manager of the property that refunds are only issued for “major” issues and was offered complimentary breakfast which I declined as it’s an absolute joke! I have stayed here many times over the last decade and have previously loved our stays but safe to say we will look elsewhere for our future holidays.
We had a great weekend stay at these apartments.. Our room was clean, cozy and modern. Great spa bath. The only faults for me was the reception's service. Staff not very friendly, just polite. And no pool towels in the room. I had to wait in the queue at reception to grab them, and it was busy. The beds just had a sheet and it was a very cold weekend. Pulled out the blankets but the air con/heater in lounge area so not great when the room is cold. Young guy at the bar was great. Pity both pools not heated as the one that was, was small and busy. BUT we had a great time and would stay again.
Quick winter getaway over weekend. Great location and friendly staff, Sand at reception went above and beyond assisting our group. Breakfast was decent but had to walk over at Peppers next door, plenty of restaurants options within walking distance. One of the highlights of our trip with kids was visit to Tropical Fruit Garden which is only a short 10 mins drive from the hotel. Rooms are dated but will return again due to the service provided by staff.
