Nightclub
•Khokolat Bar, also known as “K-Bar” to its fans and to those unsure how to pronounce its name (“chocolate”, just FYI), Khokolat has quickly become a go-to nightspot for R&B fans, and fans of sophisticated lounge/club vibes. Exceedingly popular on each of its various “nights”, Khokolat is always urbane and stylish, and imbued with a sense of sophisticated fun. That’s a long-winded way of saying the Hardware Lane bar is as good for a weekday evening unwind as it is for go-for-broke weekend celebrations.Inside the bar, chocolate coloured walls contrast with white leather couches and splashes of red. The main cocktail bar is a modern, strikingly designed affair, one that seems to look out across the weekend action. Which of course, centres around the vast dance floor. Those who arrive at Khokolat with a posse are able to reserve lounge areas - of which there are a variety - or the venue in its entirety. Khokolat’s a good pick for those who dig their R&B and “old skool” tunes, those who like their venues stylish, and those who always head into the weekend looking sharp.Khokolat Bar is found nestled along Hardware Lane. For the uninitiated, Hardware Lane runs between Bourke and Lonsdale Streets, parallel to Elizabeth Street. That’s a short walk from Melbourne Central, GPO and a whole bunch of buses.

Nice place in Melbourne city. Superb music n very reasonable pricing on drinks.
Place was pretty empty on a Saturday night. Maybe 20 people in the whole venue. $25 entry and $25 for a toddler to watch over a coat
I always have fun when I'm there with my mates. I love the loud music and dancing the night away.
I went to a Latin Fiesta event here which I saw advertised on Facebook . It was a big disappointment. Plenty of Pop and R&B music was being played instead of Latin music like specified in the Facebook invite. At the Club the flyers showed R&B music as well but acoustic music was also played which I wasn’t aware about. A big chunk of people left and the club only had approximately 25 people. My advice to the organisers is to have valid information about the event and not misrepresentation on social media platforms. For reference, the attached image shows no information about acoustic, pop and R&B music. I went to listen to Latin Music and heard more Pop and R&B. My 2 stars is for the fact I actually danced to a handful of Latin songs only but was disappointed with the lack of Latin music.
A bit disappointed as the bouncer didn’t accept my digital ID last weekend, why isnt it still acceptable?
