#VenueNowVIP: Venuemob X Crown Marquee

Glittering views, stylish surrounds, amazing food, and the launch of an exclusive end of year event booking perk – it could only be a VenueNow client event! The latest edition of our #VenueNowVIP events was held at the brand-spanking new Crown Marquee, a gorgeous rooftop venue overlooking Melbourne’s skyline.

If there’s one thing Melbourne loves, it’s a rooftop venue. Maybe it’s because we spend so much of the year battling the elements and icy winters, and sprinting inside from sudden downpours. In any case, the latest rooftop space from which we can watch the sunset and enjoy a drink has opened at Crown Melbourne.

Housed on level three of Crown Towers (right by Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, for those playing at home), the Crown Marquee is a stylish function space – not at all like the flimsy marquee you’d expect to see at a music festival. In fact, it boasts a bar, stage, and a pre-function outdoor area that makes the most of the spectacular skyline view.

 Guests at our latest #VenueNowVIP event were greeted upon arrival by a beautiful singer/harpist combo, along with an interactive gif-making photo booth by way of our friends at Solution Entertainment. 

Set up in a cocktail style, the marquee was looking every bit the urbane and modern city function space – perfect for the night’s Instagram competition.

Canapés included a smoked salmon triple-decker, lobster and prawn brioche buns, goats cheese and caramelised onions on a parmesan biscuit, and a prawn risotto. That, and a well-stocked bar, made for a delicious time.

Before Le Soul hit the stage to provide entertainment for the rest of the night, VenueNow Head of Corporate Business Development took a moment to announce a new booking perk for corporate clients: all event enquiries made and subsequently confirmed between 1 November and 10 December 2017, with a event spend of $20K or more will receive a $100 Visa gift card, or a $100 donation to the charity of your choice.

A memorable event requires good food, good music, and maybe even a few freebies, and this #VenueNowVIP event had all three. Who doesn't love prizes and cocktails? 

Chocolate-covered marshmallow cones, and white chocolate and raspberry pops proved to be a hit, for those who could tear themselves away from the photo booth for long enough to grab one. And of course, the Crown Melbourne fire show made an appearance, almost within singeing distance (not really).
