Booked By VenueNow: Meet Meghan O’Sullivan from Monash University

Today, we hear from Meghan O’Sullivan, Events and Alumni Relations Manager for the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. Overseeing the faculty’s portfolio of widely varied events, Meghan is constantly on the hunt for new and beautiful venues to fit the brief. VenueNow started working with Meghan last year. Since then, VenueNow has further expanded its presence at Monash University, helping other members of the institution with their event needs.

What sorts of events does your faculty hold?

As an education-based organisation, many of our events are centred around education, research and enterprise. We run everything from graduations and educational conferences to gala dinners and alumni recognition awards.

How has VenueNow helped you/your business?

VenueNow has been incredibly useful for me in pulling together venue proposals and recommendations for the senior executive team. It has also been a fantastic resource to direct colleagues within the University to go for their venue needs! The tailored company-specific website is also incredibly impressive and useful.

What's your favourite feature about the VenueNow process and/or platform?

My favourite feature is that it is a one-stop shop for all of the best venues that Melbourne, and more broadly, Australia, has to offer. It can save you hours of trawling through venues’ websites as all the information you need is presented in one site.

Tell us about your favourite event booked through VenueNow.

I’m working with VenueNow for an upcoming public lecture to be held next month. With many of our events are based on campus, I have referred many colleagues and clients to VenueNow.

What's the craziest or most memorable event you’ve been to?

It would have to be Diner en Blanc at the Melbourne Museum forecourt this year. Watching the sea of people dressed head to toe in their finest white attire, dressing their tables in their most elaborate white crockery and decor was quite simply...spectacular!
