The food was amazing, the vegan burger was outstanding, the chicken schnitzel perfectly cooked, and the cabbage and onion salad with vegan dressing was unbelievable. This place is spectacular. I will definitely be back.

The food was excellent - well presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with care. There was a good variety on the menu, and everything we ordered was thoroughly enjoyed. The service was fabulous, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome without being overbearing. Sitting outside was especially great - it added to the relaxed atmosphere and made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, a lovely spot for a relaxed meal with great food and attentive service. We would happily return.

What a spectacular part of South Australia. The building is beautiful and has so much character and charm. Loads of original and antique fixtures. A great drive through that part of the hills, and not too far from Adelaide. The menu was huge, and there were some excellent wines available. Service was friendly, but lacklustre. The food was ordinary unfortunately. Perhaps visiting on a Monday was why.

Went there for dinner with friends. I ordered the 250gm rump cooked well done ($40) It was under seasoned and as tough a boot leather, and the chips were cold. When the young waiter asked how our meals were, I told him about the steak. He just said quite rudely it was well done and walked away. He later came back and said the chef said the rump is a thinner piece of meat and that is why it is tough. I have had rump steak at other venues and it has been very tender. I will not return. Firstly because the chef can't cook steak and for $40, it should've been better. Secondly because of the rude customer service that I received

We stopped by this afternoon and were absolutely impressed by the outstanding customer service. I had accidentally ordered the wrong item and asked for a change — the staff handled it with such grace and kindness. No blame, no fuss — just genuine hospitality. They went above and beyond without making us feel uncomfortable, which truly speaks to their professionalism and care. The environment was equally delightful. With two fireplaces glowing warmly, it was the perfect cozy spot to relax on a rainy winter day. The atmosphere felt welcoming, intimate, and just what we needed. Highly recommend for both the service and the comforting vibe. Will definitely be back!
