Reviews for The Terrace Hotel Adelaide

We chose the Terrace Hotel as our venue for our engagement party. We were over the moon with how it turned out! We were hoping for a cocktail (semi formal) style, light, bright space for our celebrations for 55 guests. Daniela and Micky were helpful the whole way along, and they were able to accommodate all of our requests. The venue is stunning, and the food was impressive with our guests complimenting both the venue and food which was canapés and grazing table. The drinks package was well worth it. The staff on the day were friendly and attentive. It was great value, and a very convenient location. Our guests and us had a comfortable stay at the hotel afterwards and a gorgeous buffet breakfast. We feel like we came across a hidden gem and that the Terrace went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend The Terrace to anyone looking for a venue.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the Terrace for 5 nights on a Discover Australia tour. From the very first staff member that greeted us everything was amazing. They allowed us to store our luggage until our room was ready and gave us maps and directions to find some great lunch options. Our room was clean and spacious with spectacular views. Great breakfast each morning and we also had a couple of night time meals as well. Loved the happy hour. Could not fault this hotel.

Comfortable bed, & pillows. Nice staff members. Close to cbd. Reasonable parking fee. Shower pressure terrible & sometimes the water doesn’t get hot. No ammenities such as fitness centre. Building older with slight renovation. It smells on level 7 in hallways & elevator slow…

Have used The Terrace hotel usually on Pageant week. Rooms have been spacious, clean, great bathroom space. The restaurant is nice and offers a good variety of food options. Pricing on restaurant is reasonable. Service is good and staff friendly. Convenient location within the outer of the city limits, without the hustle and bustle of the city. Car parking is available and public transport within reach. Close to other food venues if you feel like venturing out. Overall a good place to stay.

The most important thing I want to point out is the shower being in the bath. Not at all ideal for seniors. It wasn’t easy to climb into the bath or get out. There is a bar/ handle to hold onto getting in and out… without it, you couldn’t do it.. also, there isn’t any rubber mats in the bath, so to help prevent a fall, I can only suggest putting a hand towel down to help prevent slipping. Apart from that, all was well. The bedroom was comfortable. The little fridge iced up though, so anything you put in it, you need to keep an eye on it, so not to freeze up. The room had a balcony. There is a full breakfast available in the downstairs restaurant, between certain hours. And lunch and dinner in the evening. And they sell alcohol. Also, at the reception, there is some snacks, drinks & sandwiches to purchase. Overall, the hotel was comfortable, just not practical in regards to the bath. There is a motel next door, also a bigger hotel, should you want to upgrade.
