We had a wonderful stay at Amora Hotel Brisbane for a few nights in early December while attending the Lady Gaga concert. Overall, the experience was excellent and we really enjoyed our time there. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made a big difference. A special mention goes to our cleaner, Nagma Shrestha. She was new to the role but absolutely lovely — very friendly, helpful, and always cheerful. Her attitude and care really stood out and added a personal touch to our stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. One small downside was with the complimentary amenities service. The hotel offers free items like shavers, coffee pods, soaps, and creams, which is a great idea. However, on two occasions I ordered amenities and they didn’t arrive as expected. The first time I had to ask staff the following morning before they were delivered, and the second time they never arrived at all. I was checking out the next day, which may have contributed, but the request was made the day before, so it was a little disappointing. That said, this was a minor issue in an otherwise very enjoyable stay. We would happily stay here again and would still recommend Amora Hotel Brisbane to anyone visiting the city.

I honestly do not understand how this hotel received five stars on Booking. The hotel is simply not good, not serious, and far below any five-star standard. The only positive thing about this place is the the lobby ,that’s it !Nothing else The rooms are dirty and poorly maintained. We stayed for five days, and for three of those days the bathroom was not cleaned at all, only changed towels. I complained , and nothing was done The pool area is filthy. Towels were piled up and scattered everywhere, there was visible hair, and the pool drains were extremely dirty and clearly had not been cleaned for a long time. On the first day, there were no pool towels available at all We had to take towels from the room just to use the pool. The shower head was clogged. I asked for it to be cleaned, and even after the request, nothing was done. I am extremely disappointed. I do not recommend this hotel at all, and in my opinion it does not deserve anywhere near five stars.

Nice quiet hotel. Stayed in a room with 2 double beds, we were 2 adults and 2 kids(12&8). Nice pool but right between office blocks. Ok gym and sauna. Room was nicely renovated. Parking was expensive at $40 a night but there is a First Parking next door for about half that. Short stroll to QSM and even shorter to Central Station.

Nice tidy rooms. Great shower. Adjusting temperature on shower a little slow. Was very easy to set up casting from my phone to the TV! I missed not having a small freezer with a few ice cubes. Air conditioner was easy to use and kept us comfortable on a very muggy evening! Swim at the pool was just what I needed after a hard day's work, before I had to get ready for our event in town within walking distance from the Hotel.

Update: Below my reply and my first review Dear TJ, Thank you for your reply. However, several statements in your message are simply inaccurate. It is not true that had I raised the issue of coffee, your team would have assisted me. This was raised both at the restaurant and at reception, and no alternative was provided in either case. I am now well aware that Christmas is a reduced-service period in Australia. That is precisely the issue. If a hotel chooses to remain open, it must provide its services. Operating solely to generate revenue while withholding basic hospitality standards is unacceptable — particularly for a five-star hotel. If services cannot be delivered, the hotel should not operate. I have travelled extensively worldwide, including during holiday periods, and I have never experienced anything comparable. This is a serious failure of the hospitality model. Regarding complimentary water, I must also correct your statement. I personally called reception and was explicitly told that bottled water was not provided. When I highlighted that this is a basic standard even in three-star hotels, I was told to drink tap water. This was not a communication issue — it was a refusal of service. Overall, this experience was unacceptable and deeply disappointing. First review: This hotel is advertised as a 5-star property, but unfortunately it does not deliver a 5-star experience. There was no one to welcome us on arrival, no assistance with luggage, and no escort to the room — services that are basic expectations for a hotel positioning itself at this level. The structure itself is fine, but clearly dated. The pool is okay, but it gets no sun at all, which makes it essentially unusable. When I asked the staff about this, they initially didn’t know what to say and admitted they don’t really spend time at the pool themselves. What really stood out in a negative way was the lack of complimentary water in the room. When I contacted reception, I was told I could drink tap water. This has never happened to me before, especially in a 5-star hotel. Welcome water is a basic standard, not a luxury. On top of this, the hotel bar was closed, and even the bar near the hotel was also closed. It is honestly unbelievable that in a so-called 5-star hotel there is no way to even get a simple coffee. I was left completely speechless. If you want to position yourselves as a 5-star hotel, you need to provide 5-star services. Otherwise, this property should be marketed as a 3 or 4-star hotel instead. Overall, a very disappointing experience. It feels like in Australia the standards are set much lower, and with limited tourism there is little incentive to care but for international travelers, this falls well below expectations.
