I can’t fault the place or the staff. There was everything I needed - I didn’t expect a room costing well under $200 to have a fridge, microwave and kettle, let along cereal, milk, biscuits, and room service beverages. It was clean, tidy, the staff were super helpful, and let me in early because I forgot the time difference from NSW and turned up way too soon for check-in. Add to this that it’s under 6km from the entertainment centre, and the convenience of the bar and restaurant, and you couldn’t ask for a better place!

Writing The accommodation at the hotel was excellent and we were very happy with our room. However, our experience at the bar on Saturday night (7th March at approximately 8:20pm) was extremely disappointing. After returning to the hotel, we ordered one round of drinks and sat down to listen to the band. When I went back to the bar to order a second round, I stood there waiting while three staff members were behind the bar area. One young woman was washing glasses, looked at me and then turned away. Another staff member walked up to her, looked at me as well, and continued their conversation. A young man collecting glasses also walked straight past me. I stood at the bar for around five minutes without even being acknowledged, despite there being no other customers waiting to be served. Being completely ignored like this is unacceptable service in any hotel. Eventually I gave up waiting, returned to our table and we left about ten minutes later. It was a very frustrating experience and unfortunately it completely spoiled what had otherwise been a great stay. I rarely leave negative reviews and generally only post positive ones, but this level of service was so poor that it needed to be mentioned. The hotel and accommodation are excellent, however the bar staff clearly need better training in customer service and basic attentiveness. PS: The band was very good, but placing them in the corner surrounded by televisions is not the best setup for dancing or for guests to properly enjoy the music. Regards, David Grady

I stayed at Brighton Hotel in Room 3 on 1 January 2026. The check in process in the pub was a breeze and Liam made me feel so welcome. I stayed once before in October 2023 and I note the room I stayed in was upgraded to my previous stay. I heard no noise from the pub, the room had the basic essentials of coffee, tea & milk PLUS it had 3 types of cereal, an extra milk, a mini chocolate bar and microwave. The TV is a SmartTV where plugging in the Chrome device was a piece of cake. The bathroom was clean and effective. The air con worked well. I went inside the pub where the staff were friendly to me and whilst I didn’t grab dinner (ate at a friends house) I noted the meals served to others looked sensational. The motel is slightly detached from the pub making it worth staying. As with all accommodations there’s the odd teething problems but I know they’ll be on top of everything. Even though I stayed the one night there were signs in the rooms about daily room service so the cleaners do their best to keep everything fresh, clean and updated. I hope to be back again in the future thanks very much to Liam and all the crew.

We stayed at the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We just had a standard room. It was neat and tidy inside with clean sheets and bedding. The bed was a little springy for my liking, but overall it was ok. The bathroom had all the toiletries. However, there were lots of tiny ants in the shower area and wash basin which wasn't a big issue, but my daughter freaked out. A quick rinse and it's all gone. Overall, it was a good place to stay. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food.

We had a budget stop over and had low expectations but although not the prettiest, it was such a nice place. The room is comfortable, the staff are really lovely and the food was very enjoyable, large portions, value for money and delivered to our room. Was a surprising delight and we will stay again.
