Reviews for Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Central

Stayed here recently and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, which is exactly what you want after a long day. The staff were friendly and welcoming, check-in was quick, and everything just worked the way it should. The included breakfast was a nice bonus too. I went down planning on a light breakfast and somehow left feeling like I'd prepared for a marathon. The location made it easy to get around, and the overall experience was excellent value for money. No complaints at all – I'd happily stay here again.

The hotel location is excellent and very convenient. However, the cleanliness was far below what I would expect from a Holiday Inn based on my experiences in other countries. During my two-week stay, housekeeping standards were disappointing. It often seemed that the bed linens were not properly changed, and at times it felt like only the bed cover was replaced while the bedding underneath remained the same. This made me lose confidence in the overall hygiene of the hotel. Because of these concerns, I even purchased my own towel and avoided eating or drinking at the hotel, as I no longer felt comfortable with the cleanliness standards. I hope the hotel management takes customer reviews seriously, especially the many comments regarding housekeeping and cleanliness, and works to improve these areas. The location is great, but the cleaning standards need significant attention.

The rooms were clean and large, very close to Central station. One should note this hotel is on a hill, Not an issue for me but might be for one that is mobility impaired. I suspect this hotel had a great view of the city until a building was built beside it. Staff and check in was polite, fast and efficient. The breakfast was not up to expectations compared to other Holiday Inn Expresses that I have stayed at. It was not bad, just average. That is where they lost a star. Loved the free video games at the front. No one took advantage of it while I was there. Would I stay again? Maybe, if the breakfast improved.

Stayed here overnight and was overall happy. Would stay again. Ticks most boxes for a city hotel and it’s quiet. The free breakfast is simple but good, the staff can just about keep up with the busyness. Parking is expensive at $35 per night. Would be nice to have the option to book a king sized bed too. The staff at reception could be better. I asked twice for my IHG membership number to be added to my booking and it never was. We were completely ignored in the evening when we tired unsuccessfully to order a drink at the bar. And the cleaner knocked on our door at 9am to ask what time we were leaving which is not acceptable.

Daniel and the team at Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Central were amazing!! Friendly team, great buffet breakfast, and board games / pool table in the lobby provided great entertainment for the kids! Great location in the CBD too.. Highly recommend!
