Reviews for Kennigo Hotel Brisbane

American travelers going through Australia on their honeymoon - our stop in Brisbane was for 2 nights and we found this place online. Reasonably priced. We arrived late our first night (around midnight) and were hot and exhausted from our travels (drove from Sydney). The first room we got in felt like a sauna. We immediately turned on the AC and it didn't feel like it was cooling at all. Standing in the room I was dripping with sweat. I am a hot sleeper (cant sleep when not cool) and we had a 6am excursion to GBR planned in the morning so wanted some quality sleep since most we would get was 5 hrs. I called the front desk and he said let him go "throw a switch" and wait 10 min and if not cooler he would give us another room. After 10 I called back because I was still hot as balls. He had us come back to reception desk and gave us another room. That one was hot when we entered but cooled down quickly. All good. We got up in the morning and wanted to put some things in the safe while we were out of the room all day but it was closed. I called the front desk and they said only maintenance can open it and they dont come in until 7am. We just braved it and left things in our bags in the room. No biggie. The room itself is rather small, but has all the important things and the tv was excellent (could cast things from our iPad seemlessly) and the bed was comfortable. Not posh, but nothing to really complain about. Our flight on our last day was at 6pm and we asked for late check out (11am instead of 10am) and they granted it. At 1030 someone knocked on the door to ask if we were checking out and we said we had late check out and she responded that no one told her. But didnt make a fuss about it. The front desk kept our luggage while we bumped around town waiting for our flight. Staff was excellent. Would stay again.

Great location. Staff are lovely. The rooms are super clean and modern. Great on-site parking. The coffee shop has strong coffee and great food options

The room was simple but modern, clean, and had everything you could need - TV, fridge, bedside tables, and even a little bench with a bar stool. For the price, it was excellent value. The location was great, and having a coffee shop right on the ground level was such a bonus, breakfast was good and the coffee was spot on. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. Overall, we couldn’t fault the place for what we paid.
