I had a fantastic stay at LyLo Brisbane and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The location is absolutely spot on — everything from public transport to cafes, shops, and key attractions is literally a 2-minute walk away, which made getting around Brisbane incredibly easy. The staff were genuinely warm, friendly, and always happy to help, which really added to the overall experience. You feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The facilities are truly next level. The rooftop bar is a standout — great atmosphere, amazing views, and the perfect place to relax after a day out. The common areas are modern, well-designed, and very well maintained. My stay was extremely comfortable — the rooms were clean, quiet, and thoughtfully designed for a great night’s sleep. Everything felt fresh, modern, and well organised. I would 100% recommend LyLo Brisbane to anyone visiting the city, whether for business or leisure. I’d definitely stay here again.

I initially stayed in Lylo for the first month I arrived in Brisbane and I'm glad I did, it's by far the best Hostel in the City even if it is a little pricey compared to others it's well worth the money if you want a clean,friendly and as 'private' as you can get in a hostel, pods are great for that and only 6 people in a room at a time makes it even nicer. I work FiFo now but whenever I come back to Brisbane it's my go to Hostel, it's perfectly located with a 5 minute walk to Fortitude Valley trainstation and 7 minutes to get into the 'valley' where all the pubs,clubs,restaurants and shops are. All of the staff are great, very friendly and happy to help you with whatever you need, Cavan the big ol' Geordie chap on the front desk was a good laugh, friendly guy who helped me out any time I needed it! All round great place to stay, would recommend it to anyone! See you again Lylo 🫡

Exceptional place to stay, chilled vibe,extremely clean, they use cotton sheets not polyester & White Fresh Cotton Towels. Staff are very friendly and hardworking to make sure everything is clean and meticulous With everyone having a great time. Extremely sociable management that get people involved and take them around the city and involved in trivia etc. Storage is great opposite your bed and card tap to lock up, it fits easily two overhead luggage bags and a shelf for for all of your personal belongings and is quite deep and long. Never thought anything like this I would find in the city so Central. You can just take a walk to the pub that's only across the road. Highly recommend and go another 100 m and you are on King Street which has exceptional breakfast at Kulchar-coffee.. Don't forget, Lylo place is fully equipped for cooking with every utensil you can imagine huge kitchen area, breezy open air. 3 Fridges tag your Bags. Very safe place. Lots of seating and is just an exceptional vibe. Happy hour! You can load your card, get two for the price of one if you love a drink of many types of beer. Free wifi. They have plenty of social gatherings and movie nights, painting you name it.

I could say this stay was disapointing. While the location was good, you will find many times Police near after something happened. My experience: it is a little safer than third world countries, but I think there are better places. The pod was full of dust, and caused me an allergic reaction that improve after I cleaned the whole pod with sanitary towels. The pods were full of ants, and many times I was bitten by them. When I told this to the staff they told me that I must have food in the pod for that to happen, but that was not the case, I ate out every day, since kitchen was full almost every day. In the bathroom, there were leaky pipes near the toilet, and I saw nematode worms many times, roaming over the tiles. The solution of the staff was to put a towel there. These hygienic conditions are not even good, and most of the staff is not helpfull and just answer with non-sense to the problems they present.

Fantastic experience! From check in to check out we couldn’t ask for a better stay. Staff were super helpful, we even got bumped to a private room instead of dorm. The room was beautifullly furnished, very clean and had everything we needed! Will definitely be booking again! Love that they do social get together throughout the week too!
