I initially stayed in Lylo for the first month I arrived in Brisbane and I'm glad I did, it's by far the best Hostel in the City even if it is a little pricey compared to others it's well worth the money if you want a clean,friendly and as 'private' as you can get in a hostel, pods are great for that and only 6 people in a room at a time makes it even nicer. I work FiFo now but whenever I come back to Brisbane it's my go to Hostel, it's perfectly located with a 5 minute walk to Fortitude Valley trainstation and 7 minutes to get into the 'valley' where all the pubs,clubs,restaurants and shops are. All of the staff are great, very friendly and happy to help you with whatever you need, Cavan the big ol' Geordie chap on the front desk was a good laugh, friendly guy who helped me out any time I needed it! All round great place to stay, would recommend it to anyone! See you again Lylo 🫡

Generally fantastic hostel. Great location if you wanna party, super nice pods, incredibly clean, nice outdoor lounge space on the roof, really nice people. The bad: The wifi in the rooms is absolutely hellish. The worst torment I know is trying to get signal in those rooms, my god. Also, the lounge closes at 11pm, so the only place to get anything done is the six-person dining table in the lobby with its awful IKEA dining chairs. GUYS, PLEASE STOP CLOSING THE LOUNGE. We can see you're not actually cleaning up there. What's the point? Australian hostels really fail to understand nomads need a place to work and take calls at odd hours, and Lylo is no different. Also, the social vibe here really falls short for backpackers. Unfortunately, this is the case across the whole country, where the hostels are de facto dormitories for European work visa 20-somethings. Normal travelers feel like the new kid at school staying in a dormitory where everyone already knows each other. Hostels need to manage that better.

Topnotch service from staff. Shoutout to Amy for going above and beyond during my engagament party. Seemless booking, thorough and clear communication from Amy made my engagement party stress free. Her staff were exceptional and passed the vibe check. Great value rooftop venue with chill vibe.

You have your own pod = private space that comes with your own lamp, charging ports, mirror, shelves to put your stuff, comfy bed and pillow, AND a cabinet to store your stuff that is lockable using your key card. Doors to the room (containing multiple pods) are accessible w the same key card. 1 shared toilet (with a clean shower, toilet, sink) to 6 pods for the one I stayed in. Level 4 has a beautiful outdoor lounging space where there is a massive TV too, as well as a kitchen w fridge, microwaves, cooking stuff. By far the best hostel I have ever stayed in. Great location, very near the fun at Fortitude Valley.

Great stay! Love the bathroom inside the room and makeup nook. Super comfy pod bed that was private and fast wifi! Great rooftop open air area. Super friendly staff. Great location close to 711, fortitude valley train station & Woolies.
