For the price you pay, the food is very mediocre. $38 for a salad that was basically a bag of lettuce and 3 chicken tenders. Looked like previous patrons let their kids have a food fight of some sorts. There was so much food on the ground that scattered to where we were sitting and wasnt cleaned up so the poor staff had to clean it up during a very busy dinner rush. The staff were amazing and friendly however, kudos to them and their professionalism.

I’ve been to Mango Hill Tavern multiple times before, but tonight absolutely blew me away. Mother’s Day was understandably busy, yet the service and timing were incredible from start to finish. A huge shoutout to Ellie, who was honestly exceptional. She had to ID me after I’d already ordered my martini and unfortunately I didn’t have my ID on me, so I had to quickly drive home to grab it. It was mildly inconvenient, sure, but she was simply doing her job properly and I genuinely can’t fault her for that at all. If anything, it was my mistake for not bringing it. What really stood out was how kind and professional she was about the whole situation. She even offered us dessert on the house because she appreciated that we were understanding, which was completely unnecessary but so thoughtful. Despite how busy the venue was, our food came out surprisingly fast and we never felt forgotten or stuck waiting around. The meals were HUGE too. I included a photo with my butter knife next to the chicken parmigiana for scale because the thing practically needed its own postcode. I also tried the vegan mud cake with coconut ice cream and wow. I’m not vegan myself, I just like trying different things, but it was genuinely amazing. You would never guess it was vegan, and the coconut ice cream paired with it perfectly. Tonight reminded me why I keep coming back. Great food, generous portions, and service that genuinely makes you feel looked after. Ellie turned what could have been an awkward situation into such a positive experience, and I left seriously impressed.

Going out with a 9 month old isn’t always easy, but the team at Mango Hill Tavern make it feel effortless. We couldn’t get through the auto sliding doors on arrival and before we had a chance to sort it out, a lady who I assume was the shift manager ran over, let us in manually, apologised and personally took us to a table. She asked about our seating preferences, offered a high chair, explained the ordering process and wished us a great meal. It was such a small interaction but it made a big difference. The venue is spacious so you’re not sitting on top of other guests, which helps when you’ve got a pram. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. We ordered the Wagyu burger, the chicken burger and mozzarella sticks. For our 9 month old we grabbed mashed potato and steamed veggies which were perfect. Everything was fresh and tasty. This is our second visit and both times have been great. The app is good value too, new users get $10 off which is almost the price of a pint. We’ll definitely keep coming back.

We rarely eat out because our son has severe allergies, and dining out can feel incredibly stressful for us. From the moment we arrived, Emma was absolutely amazing. She took the time to listen carefully and completely understood the seriousness of our concerns. Emma personally spoke directly with the chef, who reassured us that he would prepare our son’s meal in a dedicated, separate area to avoid any cross-contamination. That level of care and attention went far beyond anything we’ve experienced locally before. To feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported meant the world to us. Because of the team’s professionalism and kindness, we were able to relax and actually enjoy our evening ( something we don’t often get to do when eating out ) We are truly blown away and so grateful. Thank you for making our family feel safe and welcome. We will absolutely be back.

Atmosphere - 7/10 Service - 7/10 Food - 2/10 Meals ordered - Pulled pork nachos - 6/10 Not much pork, but over all a pleasant meal. Calamari, chips + salad - 1/10 Calamari very overcooked, very chewy. Kids smash burger - 7/10 Simple burger, child was satisfied. Kids ham, cheese + pineapple pizza - 1/10 The pizza was a pre-made frozen pizza (McCains or similar). Poor form.
