Roma Street Parkland is one of Brisbane's most beautiful and underrated attractions, and honestly one of the best free things to do in the city. Whether you are looking for a peaceful morning walk, a stunning place to unwind, or a unique nature experience right in the heart of the CBD, this parkland delivers on all fronts. The gardens are absolutely breathtaking vibrant tropical flowers, lush green landscapes, and gorgeous scenic lookouts around every corner. It is the kind of place that genuinely surprises you with how scenic and well maintained it is. One of the highlights has to be spotting the Western Water Dragons that call the parkland home. Seeing these amazing reptiles basking along the paths and waterways makes every visit feel like a real wildlife encounter. Nature lovers will absolutely love it. The walking paths are well shaded, easy to navigate. It is a fantastic spot for a solo morning walk, a relaxed stroll with friends, or even a family outing. There is always something beautiful to see no matter what season you visit. If you are visiting Brisbane and want to experience amazing scenery, native wildlife, and stunning gardens all in one place, Roma Street Parkland is not to be missed. Highly recommended for locals and tourists.

The Enchanted Garden is a beautiful, immersive light experience that transforms the Roma Street Parkland into a glowing wonderland. The pathways are filled with colourful lights, gentle music and stunning projections that make the whole walk feel magical. It’s perfect for families, couples or anyone who enjoys a relaxing evening stroll with lots of photo opportunities. I loved the atmosphere and how well the display blends with the natural garden surroundings. It’s also very family friendly and easy to walk through, even with prams or kids. At the end of the trail, there are lots of food trucks offering great snacks, desserts and drinks, which makes it a nice way to finish the night. It adds to the festive vibe and gives you time to sit, relax and enjoy the atmosphere even more. The only downside is the crowding during peak times, some sections get slow because everyone stops for photos. Choosing a later session or a weekday helps make the experience more comfortable. Overall, it’s a lovely, affordable event that brings a bit of magic to Brisbane during the festive season. Definitely worth visiting at least once!

I really enjoyed my visit to Roma Street Parkland. It’s such a peaceful spot right in the middle of Brisbane — beautifully landscaped with colourful gardens, shady trees, and walking paths. Great place to unwind, have a picnic, or just enjoy the scenery. Everything was spotless and well cared for, and it’s super easy to get to from Roma Street Station. Definitely one of my favourite places in the city.

The enchanted gardens is a magical fairytale dream. Designed for both kids and adults it takes me back to my childhood of colour, fun, excitement and adventure. Highly recommend for all age groups.

A lovely park mainly maintained by volunteers. Nice walks and waterfalls, flower gardens and tropical plants and trees, with seating areas throughout.small cafe with outdoor seating that serves ice cream, sorbets and gelato's.

A robust and versatile outdoor entertainment facility consisting of a full stage set up including dressing rooms and a green room area making it an ideal venue for large events. It offers a permanent seating area and grassed hill area for additional seating.
Celebration Precinct
The magnificent lawn of Celebration Precinct, encompassing Celebration Lawn and Banyan Lawn, is available for major community, cultural celebrations and large public events. It is a popular and versatile site across an open, flat area lined with Banyan trees. This precinct features a dramatic water wall set against the picturesque backdrop of the park.

Wide open lawns, lakeside walkways and picnic facilities take in views to the lush forest and lake. The Lakeside Precinct, is a large spacious lawn ideal for smaller concerts, community events, health and relaxation themed or corporate events and team games. This site, which can be combined with Celebration Precinct, has room for more than one marquee and provides plenty of space for guests to relax, mingle and enjoy the beautiful surrounds.
