On Saturday we celebrated our 20yrs anniversary and Larry took me to a place called The Hills of Rivermakers in Morningside. In the restaurant on a Saturday night they have Italiano by Night. We didn't have a booking as we only heard about this place that afternoon. The waitress was really nice and rhey managed to accommodate us. I come from an Italian family and we really enjoyed the food (especially, the gnocchi so soft and tasty and also the pasta). We liked the atmosphere and the lovely waitresses who served us with a smile. We would definitely recommend going to check out this venue and the restaurant. I've already mentioned to my friends about this place and we're going to organise to do a daytime visit soon.
Gold package fire pit experience: Francisco and Sophia were both extremely professional at their job especially when the weather was getting wet. They moved us indoors and organised the food to be sent over and are very polite. Blankets are provided. The food itself was very carb heavy with little protein. However, for the price point and free flow alcohol options it is understandable. (We had the Gold Package)
Great to see this precinct being utilised perfectly. Had an amazing dinner last night. The cheese wheel pasta and the lasagne were great. Eating on the lawn in an open air space, was really relaxing! This morning we went to a car show there. Such a great location to host an event like that. Kudos
Service was 10/10, but sadly the main course, wine and tiramisu were 2/10. We went for the High Cheese and Pasta Wheel, as we would always get the ad on Instagram. I wish I could not be writing a 2-star review, but the food was a bit disappointing when paying $150 for dinner. Pros: Manon really looked after us and her service as outstanding. The atmosphere is always extremely lovely and you can even see the river. The cheese tower was also good. Cons: - I was so excited to eat the famous pasta made in the cheese wheel, but unfortunately it wasn’t very good. - The wines were also not the best 🥲 (and I know you will need to use cheap wine for a bottomless dinner, but I drink cheap wine too and I know you can find good tasting one). - Now, the tiramisu I think was the worse one. I’m guessing because it was stored in a can it made it weirdly moist, and the taste and texture weren’t good either.
This place was incredible to host an event! The event coordinator summer was amazing and all the staff too, lovely service and beautiful food! Held my baby shower and was the most relaxed event to host as everything was basically done and organised for us! Highly highly recommend, they have so many different venues for you to choose from and the space is incredible.
