We dined here on a Thursday lunchtime. The place was busy. We were seated quickly but it was about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order. Given the time taken - we placed our meal order immediately. Wait staff apologized as they were understaffed. That said - food was very tasty. The entrees seemed snall in portion size - but this was definitely compensated by the mains. The pork tomihawk was huge. The duck breast was tasty! Definitely worth a visit. Restaurant not well signed and difficult to find.

I visited Azteca for lunch on a Thursday with one other person. We arrived at 1:00 pm and placed our order by around 1:10 pm. The wait staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which made a great first impression. Our entrée arrived quite quickly and was very good — well prepared and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the wait time for our main. After the entrée, there was a long delay, and our main didn’t arrive until around 2:30 pm. We had to ask where our meal was, as it felt like we may have been forgotten. After no update from the first waiter, we asked another staff member and waited a further 15 minutes. When it did arrive, the steak we shared was very nice and well cooked. However, given this was a weekday lunch and well beyond a standard lunch break timeframe, the extended wait made the experience impractical. While the food quality and service attitude were good, the long delay means I wouldn’t return for lunch.

Azteca is a Latin American-Asian fusion restaurant located in the Queen’s Wharf. With its absolutely gorgeous interior with mosaic tiles and Aztec artwork, Azteca adds a whole new element to your dining experience 💯✨ Here’s what we tried 📸: * Pao De Queijo * Chicken Parfait * Yellow Fin Tuna Taco * Kangaroo Tartare * Bone Marrow + Braised Kangaroo Tail * Paris Mash * Spanner Crab on Corn Bread * Duck Breast * Short Rib * Dry Aged Wagyu Sirloin Each item was unique in its own way so I definitely enjoyed all of them. I would highly recommend the Bone Marrow, Pao De Queijo, Wagyu Sirloin, Short Rib and the Tuna Tacos 😌 Everything was presented beautifully with minimal wait time. They also have a huge selection of wines and cocktails, and the staff was more than happy to give us some recommendations 🥰 Parking available at the Star Brisbane, Uptown and Queens Plaza or QUT (flat rate on weekends) 🅿️

The menu is very small but not boring. We enjoyed every dish we had especially the short rib with pineapple jam. The flavours for each dish were exceptional. Our cocktails packed with sophisticated tastes. I would recommend Azteca for people who are looking to dine in a tapas style way. Will be back.

Service was fantastic. Our server was attentive, quick, and welcoming. The food was nothing too amazing. Ingredients used were fresh but lacked wow factor in the flavour department. Portions were TINY, which was tragic for me.
