Stayed at this hotel with 2 of my friends. The staff were sooo lovely. There was a man that waited on us for dinner, didn't catch his name but he took so much time telling us about different drinks and shared his experience barhopping in prauge, food was also amazing, (such a shame we waited until our last night to eat at the resturant, I did not expect such well presented and amazing food) Can't beat the atmosphere here, so friendly and welcoming, we had a great stay. Rooms were also spotless. Thanks for being so good to us! Plan to return many times in the future.

We stayed here over New Year’s Eve to watch the fireworks and enjoy a chilled, romantic night away. We could see most of the fireworks right from our room, which was a great bonus. The location was super convenient, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool was cool and relaxing after a hot day, and the buffet breakfast was great too. We had a couple of small issues with some lights and the fridge, but Glen and his team fixed everything quickly, which we really appreciated. They even comped our room service and threw in a bottle of wine, which was such a nice touch—thanks guys! 🙏 Overall, a really enjoyable stay and we’d happily come back 🎉

What a gem of a place this hotel turned out to be, and as it turns out, a bit of a godsend as well! My flight to New Zealand was cancelled at 2:30 in the morning, leaving not many accommodation options available. My airline put me up here for the night and honestly, I wasn’t too sure what to expect. But I need not have been concerned, as the staff were very friendly and accommodating even at 3:30 in the morning. I’ve stayed a lot of hotels, and something I often notice is that the staff are often overworked, or just not that invested in Customer Service. That’s not the case here however, as the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. And not just me they seem to be a happy bunch, and from what I can tell everybody was treated well, and made to feel like they have arrived at the right place, and that they belong! It should be a staple of hospitality I know, but it’s surprising. How many places get it wrong? The room was nicely appointed and thoughtfully decorated, and the bed very comfortable, and I would definitely say in terms of luxury fittings, they seem to be a cut above your standard four star Restaurant. Buffet breakfast was fantastic, with everything fresh and delicious, even the coffee was good which is no main feet for a beta cup coffee machine! Pro tip for the coffee machine: if you’re bit of a coffee fanatic like me run two shots of espresso back to back, then top 3/4 with hot milk, and you’ll get a delicious coffee of the requisite strength that tastes like something you want to drink! Even the pastries were fresh and tasty, which isn’t always easy first thing in the morning! I only had a quick lance at the function facilities, but they were not appointed. Looks like a good place for conferencing and for group bookings. Compliments again to the staff for getting it right, we were a tired and grumpy bunch on arrival, and even though I only had a few hours sleep before I had to prepare for my next flight, I still felt quite revitalised by the time I departed. Highly recommended!

Felt pretty basic. No real issues but things like a towel already rolled up and at the shower floor to stop leaking water was weird. Needs money spent on it. Rooms are smaller than I’d expect. Bar is poor too. Service on the front desk was good though. Wouldn’t be a first choice but wouldn’t hate a revisit.

had a wonderful stay at Voco Brisbane City and honestly, there’s very little not to love. The staff were outstanding. Always friendly, always greeting you, and genuinely doing their best to make your stay great. It sets the tone the moment you walk in. The rooms are lovely, and if you get a river view, you’re in for a treat. The outlook is beautiful and I kept thinking it would be an incredible spot for New Year’s fireworks. The location is also spot on. It’s a short walk to Queen Street and the surrounding areas, with plenty of bridge options for a scenic stroll over to South Bank. Roma Street, Central, King George Square and South Bank stations are all within walking distance too, which makes getting around easy. Breakfast was great with plenty of good options, although I did find the buffet a little pricey for what I personally could eat. Room service meals were really good overall, even if the corn-crusted chicken burger wasn’t quite my favourite. That said, there’s nothing about this hotel I wouldn’t recommend. I actually had other accommodation booked for the second half of my stay but cancelled it to extend my stay here instead. This will definitely be my go to choice for future trips to Brisbane.
