Stayed for 2 nights as part of a group booking and we travelled with our 2 year old daughter. We really appreciated the set up of having a reading room and kitchenette close to our room, allowing us some space as needed while our daughter napped next door with the door ajar. It made our stay so much better than we anticipated. Also appreciated being placed slightly away from other guests so we felt we weren't disturbing them. Breakfast was standard but good and lunch provided was fantastic! Thank you. We enjoyed the sprawling grounds, pool and rooms such as the lounge room and outside sitting area. It made our weekend very enjoyable. It would have been great if wifi code was provided on check in and enough towels provided in room. Also a map would have been helpful! Otherwise, we wouldn't hesitate in staying again.

Only stayed for a night in the family room. A very quiet peaceful place. Each staff member I encountered was very friendly, polite and helpful. The room was spacious with high ceilings, air conditioning, reasonably comfortable beds and good water pressure in the shower. I opted for this place because it was the best price option in the area for the Australia Day long weekend. It was converted from an old boys home. All the buildings appear church like, giving a religious feel to the place. There is a Graveyard near the entrance that gives a slightly eerie vibe. There is a large car park out the back and also a swimming pool. I recommend going straight to the pool after check in as the pool gets crowded and there is a lack of chairs and shelter from the sun. This place is the only place that I have stayed(Hotel, Motel, Inn, BnB etc) where there was NO tea, coffee, kettle, toaster, refrigerator, tv or microwave in the room. I have given 4 stars only for the lack of room facilities. Otherwise it was a great stay.

I was there when it was called St.Josephs home for boys. Probably 75 years ago. I remember we were treated well. My brother Robert Beck and I was with for what it felt like a long time. We slept in a dormitory with other boys located on the first floor..an open balcony at the time. One bath a week if I can remember. The meals we adequate. School daily during the week. As usual mass on Sunday and I think Benidiction Saturday. After school we all had our jobs to do jobs to do. I had to clean the reception room. My brother looked after the chickens. A very interesting time in my life..Not forgotten. 86years now and still kicking. I spent 14 years in the army. As a combat engineer. Served in Malaysia, Borneo , and the big one Vietnam among varies postings. Happily married 4 kids 8 grandchildren and a wonderful beautiful wife Jan Beck. Who is turning 80 next birthday . This is rolling on to a short story , must end it. The reason we were placed there by our parents is still unknown . They are both gone..my mother would have been 126 years old if she was still around Nothing good can be said about my father. Richard John Beck DOB 29 June 1939 Today 22 October 2025
