Value for money accommodation is the only way to describe our stay. Firstly we are senior citizens so our expectations may vary from younger folk, but here goes. I was a bit dubious booking a hotel (Pub) room, mainly because of noise concerns. The room cost us $96 for the night, we arrived mid afternoon in the heat of the day. The room would have been a cosy 22 - 25 degrees when we walked in. All the appointments looked relative new and clean. The beds cosy and a mini fridge which worked well. There was tea / coffee facilities in the room, free Wi-Fi and a $10 voucher to be used in the Bar / Bistro. The room was behind the main part of the hotel, well away from anything that could have created noise so a quiet night was experienced. The food in the bistro was served up hot, freshly prep and cooked and quite yummy. The menu had something for most and I didn't walk out hungry... good serving size. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient with food delivery and plate removal once the meals were finished and the tables were presented clean and not sticky... Well done. I was blown away with the experience of our stay because in our travels we paid a lot more for accommodation that didn't come close to The Club Hotel Gladstone.

Love this place, has a playground for the kids, plently or space, there's facepaint and balloons for the kids on Sundays.... BUT the 10/10 review is because I had the BEST dessert of my life here. The fried custard with rhubarb changed my life. Please please please consider bringing it back, or putting it on the permanent menu!!!! Please 🥺🙏🏻

Room and food in restaurant was ok / fine. Service was ok. Some guys made a car race during the night and created a lot of noise. Also our neighbours when they came back to their room at 01:30am.

If not the best place in Gladstone to stay then it has to be the best by far based on value for money. (My stay October 2025, triple room on my own, $105-$119 depending on when I booked). I was immediately impressed by the professionalism of the three staff with whom I had interactions. I stay at a lot of hotels, but the staff here were outstanding, seemingly going out of their way to be helpful. I have come not to expect this level of service at this price level. Full marks to them, and probably to whoever employed and trained them. Plus marks from by first steps into the premises. The rooms are of an older build (maybe 1970's) but have been refurbished and have a parking space outside the room much like a motel. My room (8) was very clean, had wooden panel flooring, in wall air conditioner, wardrobe, desk and chair, TV, twin 3 pin spare power outlet with twin USB charging ports, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, jug, full sets of crockery and cutlery, tea and coffee, iron and ironing board, full linen (floor towel, hand towel, face washer and bath towel, shampoo, conditioner and soap), block out curtains. Rooms were very quiet with little intrusion of traffic or other noise. Bed was most comfortable. Hotel is located 1 minute walk from the train station. Meals were typical pub meals, but very competitively and reasonably priced, and with large serves. Senior (smaller) meals were also available. Bar attendant knew the details of the meals and was happy to explain them and make suggestions. ( I ate in the "sports" bar rather than the bistro).

Great service and atmosphere. Probably the best pub menu and meals I've ever seen and eaten; extremely delicious, generous portions, and lots of options. Steaks cooked perfectly. Awesome play area for kids. Can't wait to go again.
