Nice place and it’s with the pass so it’s good that way you can order yr food and drinks from your table. Now it’s not in Airlie Beach but only a couple of minutes drive from it. There is a bus stop near the pub. The food was good and they came out at a reasonable time. Ok the down side … it is very very very expensive to drink there! We are in NSW atm and the drinks we drink is way cheaper than this place it’s like double the price !! It cost us $22 for 2 stubbies and every other place was way cheaper. We have found NSW pubs are way cheaper than this place same beer but $12 or $13 for 2 that’s how much this place rips you off!! And it’s not a craft beer either!! Would I go back .. No!! Unfortunately They are a rip off. If they lower there prices then a maybe yes I would go back.

Have spent heaps of time in Airlie but never been to the RGH til now. Knew it would be a prime spot for cold beers and good food, but I didn't expect to have one of the best chicken caesar salads of my life. Lots of anchovy, juicy herby grilled chicken, egg & bacon, just the right amount of tasty dressing. Everything else was also great but this was a standout to me. Definitely get dinner here sometime if you're in the area.

Reef Gateway Hotel is located around 6kms from Airlie Beach. The hotel offers large spacious rooms with decent interiors. Our room had 2 large beds, a microwave, a fridge, basic cups, plates & cutlery. The AC in our room did not function well, took ages to cool the room. The reception is manned by 1 person, and they close post 4pm which is challenging. The housekeeping and cleaning is good, they provide ample towels.

This place has either gone down hill, or they're having a bad run temporarily - I hope it's the latter, as we've previously had really good meals here. Unfortunately the parmi was the worst I've ever had (more crumb than chicken, dry) and the gluten free pasta was lazily bland. Plates were never cleared and most staff seemed to lack initiative. Hope to be back when it's improved :)

I cannot fault the staff, they are full of joy, nail the delivery and the meals!! My god I was so full and just wanted those flavours in my mouth again!! & the presentation *chefs kiss* . I don’t know how, but the staff team work, attitude & delivery was the highest I’ve had in 3 years in travelling to the region!!
