Cheese jalapeño bites and chips were delicious along with the crunchy but perfectly cooked tenders. Beef taco was good. Horchata was also quite nice Sweet potato quesadilla was not to my liking though due to the big chunks of sweet potato.

My sister took us here on our first evening in Melbourne for dinner. Easy going, cute interior. A bit loud without any sound absorbing features but the food was excellent. Horchata and housemade sodas were refreshing. Quite generous portions. It was a bit more like texmex than authentic Mexican to me.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Fonda Mexican Restaurant in Hawthorn, Victoria, for a bottomless brunch with friends and family. The experience was fantastic! We were treated to incredible dishes prepared by the talented chef Hasarangi, whose culinary skills truly shone through. The front manager also made a wonderful impression with their warm and friendly service, adding to the enjoyment of our visit. The food was certainly worth every cent! We indulged in delicious tacos, cheesy quesadillas, and crispy chips, all complemented by amazing margaritas and perfectly chilled beer. It was the perfect combination for a delightful brunch. The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant made us feel right at home, and it's an ideal spot for families, especially since it's very kid-friendly. I highly recommend Fonda Mexican Restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. You won't be disappointed!

12mins after ordering, informed that my option is not available. I quickly agree to have a chicken bowl instead of the tuna so they'd get on with making the food. My friend's meal arrives before mine given the mistake... they finish half their meal before mine arrives. When I get home, it occurs to me that the tuna was more expensive. It's pretty dodgy to swap out a pricier option for a cheaper one and not refund the difference. I emailed to ask for a refund and didn't receive a response. Didn't think to check spam because they started sending me marketing content after my complaint email (LOL). Turns out they replied from another account that landed in spam. Unfortunately they took umbrage to a follow up message that asked if they were trying to piss off customers further by not replying. Don't bother emailing them, the follow up interactions weren't worth the $3.

it was a sunny day when i visited and i loved the abundance of natural lighting in the store. enjoyed their new menu dishes, especially their lamb shoulder quesadilla and baja snapper taco! wished there was more cheese on their nachos though… ordered their barbacoa beef (+ guac & cheese) to make it extra loaded! we enjoyed their zucchini wedges too, which were perfectly crispy and salty. their strawberry & mint house-made soda and watermelon & lime aguas fresca were refreshing - did not “wow” me but perfect for the hot day tho!
