Reviews for Oscar's on the Yarra

I was so incredibly happy with my stay at Oscars. The staff were so lovely, accommodating and welcoming- providing information about the local area and a friendly face to welcome us every morning. The room was cosy but had everything we needed with local Botanical body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. And the included breakfast was delicious and ample. I can strongly recommend this wonderful little gem and Cathy and her staff to anyone looking to stay in the area. We can also confirm that the hotel is wheelchair friendly with their disability room and the rest of the facilities being accessible

A beautiful guesthouse set back from the main road and backing onto the Yarra river. Close to the Warburton township and sights. Rooms are well appointed and modern. Several lounge areas . Great heart breakfast and barista coffee ! Our hosts Christine and mum Catherine were lovely. I would highly recommend Oscars for your stay.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. We really appreciated their suggestions of local attractions and restaurants. A beautiful building surrounded by 100 yr old oaks. Lovely rooms - spotlessly clean, comfortable and looking out to the river. Very peaceful with the only noise being the gentle sounds of the Yarra river that is part of the property’s garden. Their location is an easy distance to the area’s many attractions. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer. We hope to return to Oscar’s soon. A very big thank you to Christine and her great team for a wonderful holiday experience.

WONDERFUL. My stay at "Oscar's" exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect, my room very clean and fresh with beautiful views. The river was so peaceful and relaxing a very good place to escape and have some down time. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. I was traveling solo and felt relaxed and safe. I loved the breakfast and the atmosphere. I had planned to stay one night only but booked a second night while I was there!! ( I am arranging to return in a few weeks). The highlight has to be the staff , really wonderful people.

The hotel is cozy, family-friendly, and very charming, with a perfect central location—ideal for visiting nearby wineries and close to great restaurants. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean, and pleasant; some even have direct access to the rear gardens. At the back of the property, there’s a lovely river that creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel also offers several areas to unwind, plus convenient self-service stations in the hallways with coffee, milk, tea, and sweeteners. Breakfast is fresh, generous, and homemade in style. There is ample uncovered parking available, and the service is warm, friendly, and easygoing. Overall, a beautiful experience and highly recommended.
