We stayed for one night while passing through. We arrived late and checked out early, and it was the perfect setup for our needs. The property was clean, tidy and the rooms had everythingwe needed. We had a group of six and booked two adjoining rooms, which worked out great. The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating throughout our short stay. We didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant or other facilities, but we would certainly recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable stopover.

We stayed here over our wedding weekend and from the moment we arrived, the customer service was amazing. Everyone was so welcome and kind. The room was absolutely lovely, though there was no shelf in the shower for hygiene items to sit on, which was a bit weird, but otherwise the room was great. The kitchen staff as well were so sweet and lovely to deal with. 10/10 would stay again

We recently stayed at Mercure Newcastle for a couple of nights as a family and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The location is very convenient and central. It’s within easy walking distance to the main shopping centre (including Coles), and also close to the marina and wharf area, which made it great for relaxing strolls and dining options nearby. The hotel has all the facilities you would expect, including an on-site restaurant. We had dinner there one evening and the meals were good quality and well presented, although the prices were a little on the expensive side compared to other nearby options. The breakfast buffet was available during our stay, but it was quite basic with limited variety. It was sufficient to start the day, though we felt there could be more options for the price charged. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay in a good location, and we would consider staying again when visiting Newcastle.

We unfortunately didn’t have a great first impression as we were checked into a room that hadn't been cleaned. Staff were great though immediately moved us to another room but unfortunately there were a few issues with the new room too. Hand soap was empty and the shower head was loose so couldn't be adjusted. I would still recommend a stay here if you're looking for somewhere central in Newcastle as the location was really convenient and I feel like it was reasonably priced.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend Mercure Newcastle. My husband and I stayed for a much-needed weekend getaway our first since having our son and it was such a lovely experience. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond. We were welcomed with a platter of sweets, a complimentary bottle of bubbles, chocolates, water, and a beautiful card with a heartfelt message from the staff. It truly made us feel special and well looked after. All staff were friendly, approachable, and consistently welcoming throughout our stay. The location is fantastic, with restaurants, nightlife, and the waterfront all within easy walking distance. We also highly recommend the Drive & Stay package, which included parking and prepaid breakfast each morning so convenient. We enjoyed the pool as well, which was perfect on a hot day. Thank you to the wonderful team at Mercure Newcastle for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be returning. 😊💕
