Reviews for ARUNA Estate

I recently stayed at Aruna Estate for two nights, and it was exactly what I needed — peaceful, serene, and incredibly relaxing. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt calm and restorative. The property is beautifully set in nature, offering quiet surroundings that make it easy to truly switch off from the busyness of everyday life. Mornings were especially lovely — waking up to fresh country air and the gentle sounds of nature was such a refreshing change. The estate itself is well maintained and thoughtfully designed, creating a comfortable and welcoming space to unwind. Whether you’re sitting outside enjoying the scenery or simply relaxing indoors, the entire experience feels tranquil and unhurried. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway to rest, recharge, and escape the noise, I highly recommend Aruna Estate in Penrose. It’s the perfect destination for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

My husband and I stayed at one of the rooms in The Residence at Aruna Estate for the long weekend. We absolutely loved the accommodation, amenities were good and the continental breakfast served was simple yet delicious featuring local produce. The surrounding area is beautiful, we particularly enjoyed swimming in the pool whilst contemplating nature and the friendly sheep around. Is it a short drive from a nice cafe Penrose Post Office Cafe and close to other towns like Bundanoon and Moss Vale with lots of dining options. Rhian was very friendly throughout our stay and made sure we had a comfortable stay.

My husband and I enjoyed a romantic getaway at Aruna Estate, staying in the beautiful “Acacia” villa. We booked directly through their website and were welcomed with a generous hamper filled with local delights—red and white wine, cheese, crackers, olives, sourdough bread, bacon, eggs, muesli, milk, orange juice, butter, and jam. It was a lovely touch that made us feel truly cared for. The villa was well-appointed with thoughtful amenities including underfloor heating in the bathroom, a hairdryer, and luxurious Grown Alchemist toiletries. The villa was a peaceful spot to relax, and the surrounding nature and wildlife added to the serene atmosphere we were looking for. While most appliances were great and the bed was very comfortable, we did notice a few areas for improvement: the kitchen and crockery could have been cleaned more thoroughly, and a microwave oven would have been a helpful addition. That said, all other products provided were of excellent quality (except for the dishwasher tablets, which could be better). A quick note for future guests: do take extra care when driving to the estate, especially at night. Some roads have quite a few potholes, and wildlife is often active in the area. Also, if you’re passing through Penrose, keep in mind there’s only one café there—though Bundanoon offers a few more dining options. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend Aruna Estate to couples looking for a tranquil escape in a beautiful natural setting.

A perfect meeting point between Canberra and Sydney for a catch-up and an unplug. Quality time spent soaking in the bush setting, loved all the beautiful farm animals (even peacocks), foraging in the garden for fresh farm produce and the comfort of the villas. Everything was thought of, such a heartfelt and lovingly curated property
