My daughter and I just stayed at the Manta as we were attending the nearby Airshow. We stayed in a one bedroom suite with balcony and were very impressed with the accommodations! The suite was very clean, well appointed, modern appliances and comfortable beds - which included a room-away bed in the living area. Location is great with a short stroll into the town centre offering pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants! Wollongong train station is super convenient and a two minute stroll across the road. The Mantra foyer was bright and inviting and the staff were very friendly. The single lift is quite slow and if the facility is full it would be a bit of challenge to move between floors, but otherwise ok. Wifi is great. We opted for an inclusive breakfast which is provided by a local cafe near the train station. The food, coffee and setting were fabulous! I highly recommend the Mantra for its excellent accommodation, location and quality.

Good deal for the size, facilities, and location. Old but well kept. The apartment is large, has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry + dryer, and free parking (tends to get full quickly at night, but you can park for free from late night to 8am on the streetside just outside the apartment building). Reception is very friendly and helpful.

The room on the 7th floor was spacious but a little outdated, so the review comments regarding upgrading the premises are warranted. I enjoyed the animal cruelty free body wash and shampoo products. A shout out to Robert for cleaning my room, which was clean on arrival. I only stayed one night. I felt that the standard was below what I would have expected for the price. Reception staff were friendly. :)

I will definitely not be staying here again please read the reviews before booking here. The rooms are definitely not worth what you pay for, the bathroom floods when you have a shower and the water goes under the washing machine and dryer, very noisy neighbours and you hear alot of fighting. During my stay I did not feel safe at all anyone can come in to the hotel and go as they please. There was an incident that happened at the hotel, 3 police and 3 ambulances had to come and there was not one staff member in sight while the police moved in and out of the premises, the next morning there was forensic police taking photos of where the incident happened and when they left it was all left open so whom ever walked past the hotel would see all the blood that was on the ground and the bloody blankets. The staff was friendly cant fault them but the lack of caring for the place was shocking.

Please read all reviews before booking this hotel. Forget yhe website it is nothing like the website. Curtains ripped. Old and basic rooms. Nothing luxurious at all. I paid $298 for a Wednesday night plus $15 parking fee per night. There is some false reviews on this page. We had a one bedroom apartment on the 6th floor.
