Outstanding venue and lovely staff. We were really blown away by the food, both in terms of quality and quantity. It's not cheap, but it's very good value for a premium package. We had our sons first birthday in the river room, beautiful views of the river, easy access from the front of the venue. We couldn't have been more pleased with how the day went and would definately use the Anglers Tavern again for functions. Facilities for young children and babies is exceptional.

Angler's Tavern -A scenic spot by the river Tucked away in Maribyrnong Park, about 30 minutes from the city by tram. Beautiful riverside views, lively atmosphere, and a stylish bistro bar right by the water. Chicken Parma (4/7) Generous topping of tomato sauce, ham and cheese over crumbed chicken – savoury and satisfying, but the crumb wasn't as crispy as hoped and the chicken was slightly dry. Chips were well-seasoned and enjoyable, though the salad could have been fresher. Pepperoni Pizza (5/7) Huge portion – easily enough for two! Loaded with pepperoni covering the entire pizza, well-balanced flavour without being too salty. Took about 30 minutes to arrive, but worth the wait. Tomatoes with cucumber, basil and vinegar (6/7) Beautifully presented, sweet and tangy cherry tomatoes that are refreshing and appetising. The dressing is spot on. Seasonal greens with garlic herb butter (5/7) Green beans, broccoli and zucchini simply boiled then elevated with garlic herb butter. Light, fresh, and surprisingly flavourful. Verdict: Beautiful riverside location with plenty of space, generous portions, and a relaxed vibe perfect for catching up with friends. Family-friendly with a kids' room too. Price: $20–$40 per person Bonus: Great views = great mood!

A great pub to visit for a meal. Especially impressed by the quality veg and vegan options which I chose despite not being either.

My daughter and I came here for lunch, I got the steak which was fantastic, my daughter got the Snitzel, she said it was abit dry, the chips were great and so was the garlic cheese bread. It was super busy, we were lucky enough to get a seat outside under the umbrella and abit of a water view from where we were sitting. Not a huge wait on meals, menu was good, lots to choose from, pricing was ok, really good atmosphere. Can sit inside or out and was plenty of parking. Definitely coming back here again

Overall, would go back if I was invited there for an event, but i wouldnt choose to come back myself. For context, I was here on a Wednesday night. We had booked a table for 7pm, but werent seated until 7:10. Sitting outside is nice, and it's clean. Outdoors is dog friendly which is a pluss in my books. Atmosphere is pleasant, just a bit loud. The food is good, but I wouldn't recommend the steak if you want it cooked to your liking. We got 2 steaks, one ordered medium but was served medium rare. The other was ordered medium rare and was served one well done... and warm, not hot. We also had to chase up one of the meals about 15 minutes after the first meals we're served. The staff are nice, very welcoming, but clearly inexperienced and overwhelmed. From my experience in hospo, i can garuntee this is a problem with management, not the staff themselves. DO NOT try and find parking here. It's a very large parking lot, but a significantly larger venue. Street parking is scarce depending on what day/time you're eating.
