Tried their Wednesday steak night. Very busy with pre Christmas get togethers. Staff was very accommodating even with virtually table already reserved. Steak night is reasonably priced and I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the porterhouse. Cooked perfectly. Tasty with good quality chips. (The photo shows my steak almost half eaten.) A bit noisy but not overly so for a pub, especially a packed one. Good selection of beers and ciders. Will definitely go again. Eady to get on public transportation.

Food solid. Drinks and service solid. Live music.. fabulous! Great night out. Thanks.. good mix of people of all ages. Only downside was that we moved as music was very loud.. we are 40+.. showing our age a but was great fun

A Melbourne pub icon that’s been here since 1853!🍺 Plenty of food choices for everyone with cheap eats & great weekly deals! my personal favourite is the Tuesdays 16$ Parma night along with the 19$ steak night on Wednesdays, the Parma was fantastic with many unique choices & different tasty combinations! The sirloin steak was delicious however I was very disappointed that it was brought out to me well done when I had pacifically asked for medium-medium rare with pink in it, there was no pink but even though it was overcooked it was very tender like normally an overcooked steak is chewy but this one was so juicy & succulent! I’ve had many overcooked steaks but this one was really good 9/10! now for the star of the night the wedges they were so crispy & delicious I’m literally craving them right now, definitely recommend getting them to share along with the sour cream & sweet chilli sauce! the vibes of this place is giving an Aussie pub vibe that can get really loud depending on where you’re sitting, I personally prefer the rooftop like it’s better to come here for a party not sure if I’d recommend bringing the kids here but they do have kid friendly options with vegan/vegetarian options, Great service & a fun place to eat drink & hangout, definitely recommend checking this place out! 🔥🥩

Great steak night promotion 😋 I chose the porterhouse, which came with chips and salad as well. Very good food! The only downside was that four of us were seated at a small high table, while two people were sitting at a table for 4. But despite that, everything was excellent. It’s better to make a booking before you go.
