Brighton Beach Hotel remains one of Brighton's oldest landmarks, established as the Royal Terminus Hotel in the 1840s. Once formerly well known as Milano’s Tavern, Brighton Beach Hotel is the second hotel south of the Yarra River and was originally built of local red ironstone. The hotel was once so remote that it was bailed up by bushrangers.
One of Brighton's oldest landmarks the hotel has multiple events spaces famous for stunning weddings, engagements, 21st birthdays and corporate conferencing and events with incredible bay views, a newly renovated beer garden and a large Bistro perfect for any occasion or celebration.
The venue has three stunning spaces for private events, our stunning Bayview room located on the 1st-floor level, the Brighton and & Esplanade rooms and our newly renovated Beer garden, which can be booked exclusively for private functions. Visited the Brighton Beach Hotel and had an overall pleasant experience. The venue has a great atmosphere and a relaxed seaside vibe, making it a nice place to enjoy a meal. The steak was cooked well, however the vegetables served with it were mashed and a little bland, which took away slightly from the dish. That said, the meal overall was still enjoyable. Service was good and the setting makes up for the small food details. Overall, a decent experience and a nice spot to visit, with room for minor improvements.

Great place to catch up! The view is stunning, especially at sunset. Photos are from two dinners (Aug 2025, Oct 2025). Group of 5. Service is very friendly and helpful, especially when ordering at the bar. Beer garden is our favourite.

The tuna steak was so dry it could have been made into boots. Without a doubt the driest fish I have been served. Such a shame as the location is lovely. Maybe don't bother with food. Follow up based upon your response. The options of patrons are limited in this situation. Option 1. I can either be difficult and ask for a recook, but based upon the condition of the tuna steak looking like it had been left in an oven for about 2 hours, I really doubted the ability of the chef to cook anything if that sort of standard is sent out of the kitchen. No word of a lie, the steak looked, was as hard as, and im quite sure tasted like a hockey puck. Or option 2 is asking for a refund, but seeing as I had already eaten the salad on the plate I am sure the wait staff would have frowned upon this. Being in a group for dinner limits my ability to want to make a fuss. Considering the food isnt cheap I quite frankly shouldn't have to be writing this review about the quality of your food.

We brought my wife here for Valentine's Day. The restaurant is near the Rainbow House and parking was easy to find. The restaurant offers stunning coastal views and breathtaking sunsets. The atmosphere inside was great, and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

Dear Manager Michelle You and your staff were Exceptional ! The upstairs room was magnificent for our International Women Day event. Thank you for helping us organise such a successful event. You helped us in every way possible and all of our guests were just bedazzled by the room and couldn’t stop talking about the wonderful meals they had there.. They loved the balcony. Looking forward to having our next great event at your beautiful hotel. Keep up the good work Michelle and I’ve gotta mention Wendy who was with us all the way on the day. Thankyou Wendy 💖😊💯⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
