Champagne Problems provides the ultimate setting for large-scale events, offering the option to hire the entire venue, including the Lounge, Main Bar, and a spacious covered terrace, with a capacity of up to 200 guests. The venue ensures a seamless and stress-free experience, allowing guests to enjoy a vibrant and adaptable space that feels exclusively theirs for the night.
We’re right in the heart of the CBD on Little Collins St, with a stunning interior and laid-back energy that’s perfect for celebrating in style. Champagne Problems offers customizable food and drink packages, allowing guests to tailor the menu and ambiance to suit their event. With a nightclub-quality sound system, Pioneer CDJs, and a top-tier AV setup, every gathering is designed to sound as impressive as it looks. For those in need of entertainment, the venue provides a roster of talented resident DJs, ready to set the perfect vibe with expertly curated beats. We have a Photo Booth which is very popular during functions.
There is no hire fee/minimum spend required. We have a range of different packages on offer and can also create a custom package/offering for you if you have a budget you are working with. You are also welcome to just book the space and have a pay as you go event if you prefer something less structured

The Lounge
The Lounge at Champagne Problems in Melbourne, located at 218 Little Collins Street, offers a classy, elegant atmosphere with a private space nicknamed "Evie's Salon" for groups of 15-35. A stylish and kitsch little number, the salon provides a personalized, intimate function space without the commitment of a large reservation. The Salon can be curtained off to provide a completely private space. It is available to book with no minimum spend requirement or hire fee. You can simply book the space and run a pay-as-you-go event or for something more structured, we have a selection of food & drink packages. AV equipment is available for use in the space if required. The Lounge seats up to 35 (cocktail-style too), and if your party's a bit bigger, we can hook you up with extra booths in the adjoining main bar. . You’ll have access to AV facilities (projector + screen), and our photo booth is a fan fave at events — great for capturing memories with a twist. Went here for a steak night with friends, and the steak was amazing!!! The portion size was great, and I have to compliment the chef for making such a delicious sauce! We ordered extra fries, and the chef was so lovely and kind to give us extra sauce for free💅The waitress who served us was very cutesieee too. Lovely ambiance!

I really enjoyed the steak night and paired it with a good quality shiraz for only $30 (in this economy, wow)! The portion size and steak quality were perfect. The tiramisu was delicious too. I was also lucky they still had the $2 oysters that night, so yummy. What a great value! Atmosphere and service are so lovely too!

We had an amazing experience on steak night at Champagne Problems. The oysters on the day we came in were absolutely incredible: fresh, creamy, and full of ocean flavour for just $2. We came as a group of three and ordered our steaks in medium, medium well, and medium rare. Unfortunately, my medium steak came out pretty rare, it was quite tough and undercooked. I’m not a picky eater at all but it's up to the point where I couldn’t eat the first bite. I brought the plate to the bar, and the staff handled the situation beautifully. I was kindly asked whether I preferred the steak to be recooked or replaced with a fresh cut. I chose a fresh cut, and it came out perfectly cooked exactly how I wanted it. A special mention to Charlotte her customer service is 10 out of 10, you guys are so lucky to have her in your bar. She checked on our table multiple times, stayed professional, warm, and positive, and made us feel very comfortable throughout the night. One small concern I still have is the Food Act Disclosure Order as mentioned in some previous reviews. If everything continues to run smoothly, I’d be more than happy to bring my mum here next time. Overall, a great experience and excellent service!

Cool little bar that would be great in winter, but it also has an outdoor area for summer, with relaxing laneway views. I enjoyed the layout of this place. It's a step down from the sidewalk when you walk in, and the ceilings are low so if has a basement bar vibe without being one. It's also quite dark which adds to the cozy feel. I had a steak and beverage for $30 which is an exceptional deal. Quality of the steak probably wasn't the best, but everything was really tasty. Happy hour prices were really good. Would definitely try this place out again.
