Collingwood Yards

Collingwood Yards is situated on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people. We acknowledge the deep significance this area holds for First Peoples and are committed to ongoing reconciliation.
Collingwood Yards is a not-for-profit arts precinct open to the public and ready to explore. It is home to artists, galleries, cultural organisations, restaurants, bars, retail stores, and offices. Collingwood Yards is an incubator for Victoria’s creative community.
The site was originally built in 1913 as the Collingwood Technical School, a hub of technical, art, and design education for over 100 years. The precinct is also home to the Keith Haring Mural, the artist’s only remaining large-scale public artwork in Australia.

Collingwood Yards works with local and international clients to deliver premium branded experiences across the precinct. With a fully integrated on-site team providing production, technical, and hospitality support, Collingwood Yards ensures seamless end-to-end solutions so your team can focus on what they do best.

The precinct is primed for large-scale events with spaces designed to work together, allowing for full takeovers and multi-pronged activations. Supporting up to 1,500 guests, the site is fully equipped with parking, loading zones, bathrooms, and extra flex spaces to accommodate a wide array of experiences.

CY Courtyard is a flexible outdoor space designed for large gatherings and community events as well as anchor for precinct-wide activations. Configurations can extend from the central gravel area to the surrounding paved zones, steps, and amphitheatre. The space is framed by public art, native landscaping and includes a fire pit suitable for smoking ceremonies.

CY Venue is a versatile events space which can be adapted to facilitate live music and performing arts, artistic and industry development events, conferences, networking and panel events, workshops, seminars, launches, and activations. CY Venue is one of Melbourne’s few fully accessible spaces, with step-free access to the venue, green room and bathrooms. Designed with inclusivity in mind, it accommodates neurodivergent needs with light and sound sensitivity, while acoustic treatment ensures high-quality sound for contemporary music. CY Venue can accommodate up to 200 people standing or 150 seated and includes a stage, reception foyer, green room, kitchenette, and bar. It can be hired in halves for smaller bookings or as a whole and divided for breakout spaces if required. The space features ample natural light, blackout blinds, climate control, adjustable stage and venue lighting, and a range of furniture which can be set up in a variety of ways depending on the needs of the event. The venue is treated to provide high-quality acoustics and is equipped with the latest technology including cameras for recording and streaming, screens, microphones, lights, and a PA.

CY Space is a flexible and adaptable space for exhibitions, workshops, presentations, meetings, rehearsals, pop-up shops, panel discussions, screenings, and photoshoots. The space can hold 80 guests standing or 40 seated, is fully accessible, and is equipped with a projector, speakers, air conditioning, and blockout blinds.
