Stayed at the hotel with a friend while our husbands were away and had the best time. The room was nice, the beds were very comfortable and breakfast was very food.. The highlight was the staff … Gregor at reception was lovely, (loved the “check in” cookies he gave us) and bar staff member Catie was also lovely and extremely friendly. All the other staff members we dealt with were very friendly … management should value their staff as the way they treat customers reflects on the business. Thanks for a great stay.

PSA: Bring your ear plugs! Sleep experience is more like a highway motel than four star hotel. I have used this hotel probably 10 times over the last two years as its a “preferred” hotel for work - I’m locked in. But, in all those stays I think I’ve had maybe one or two good sleeps. Thin walls between neighbours means I can hear coughing, TV noise, bags and cupboards clattering, doors, elevators and chatting in the halls. Then the windows point to probably the busiest road in the CBD with cars and trams piled up till late. No double glazed windows either. Most recently, construction noise in the building next door tipped it over the edge. I understand it’s out of the hotels control, but when I enquired about it they were aware that the noise could go on all night and that it was particularly bad for my room. They offered to move me, so I could either put up with drills and hammers at 11pm or get dressed and pack up my room… a better solution might be to tell your guests what to expect so they can buy some ear plugs from the chemist next door during opening hours. TDLR: busy location and cheap construction/furnishings make this supposed four star hotel feel like a cheap road side motel. Unfortunately, I’ll be back…

Very disappointing stay at DoubleTree Melbourne. I am visiting Australia from Sri Lanka and have stayed at several hotels during this trip. Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing hotel experience. The room was extremely small, and the beds were also very small and uncomfortable. The breakfast was poor, with very limited variety and little effort to cater to guests expecting a quality hotel experience. The lobby and common areas were also underwhelming and did not reflect the standards I expected. What surprised me most was that the actual experience was completely different from what I expected based on the online reviews. I would advise future travelers not to rely solely on Google reviews when choosing this hotel. Considering the price and the reputation of the brand, I expected much better service, facilities, and overall value. Sadly, this was the worst hotel stay of my entire Australia trip. I would not recommend this hotel and would not choose to stay here again.

While ive stayed at alot of hotels i feel that my experience at Double tree by hilton sets it apart from anywhere else ive stayed. The staff were absolutely amazing, and we were given cookies at arrival and they even offered us complimentary coffee because our room was late to be ready. The staff had also left us a bottle of wine to "make it right" which was absolutely lovely of them. We stayed in a city view room which was more than worth our money, amazing view, beautiful bathroom and a decent ammount of space in the room. The hotel is located right by flinders street station allowing most of melbourne to be reached by foot. The hotel was very clean and there is also daily house keeping. The hotel also took our bags up into the room for us, and regularly got in contact to check in on us during our stay. Our experience at Double tree by Hilton was incredible and i look forward to my next melbourne trip as i will be staying with them again.

I m a Diamond member of Hilton. Initially, I was thinking to stay at Hilton. But, when I emailed them to request making payment at the front desk for the Hilton member sales rate of my future stays, they told me that they couldn’t do it. So, I decided to give it a miss and tried to emailed another hilton hotel. Then, Doubletree, the reply from this hotel’s manager Faith is prompt and attentive. I can make payment at the property smoothly and efficiently. I m happy and got my problem sorted. Service is perfect!👍🏻 I stayed another time here. They upgraded my room to this room which you can see the Flinders Station very clearly! Nice! See these photos. You can also see the big screen at night! Fantastic! Location is super convenient! You can get everything you want nearby. Indeed, we live in regional and I bought some snacks and Chinese veggies at the Asian supermarket downstairs. Thank you very much! We will be back again and again! Seeya!
