Evies Disco Diner is a bar/disco/diner housed in a converted warehouse space on Gertrude St. Aesthetically paying homage to the 1980s (think Stranger Things), with a soundtrack that references that era but more so the current sound of Melbourne, Evie's is an incredibly unique venue in the cultural heart of Fitzroy.
A fun cocktail list, craft beers and local wines on tap make Evie's a space for everyone. The menu is American diner style with a huge range of vegan options. There is an emphasis on low waste, ethics and sustainability, and everything is locally sourced, even down to the syrup in the soda guns!
With a nightclub-quality sound system and a dance floor, Evie's caters to lots of occasions, and with 3 different functions areas, it allows for guest lists ranging from 25 people to 180!

Exclusive Hire
Whole venue hire If you wish to hire Evie's – and hey, we don't blame you – the entire venue is available for booking! There is a minimum spend required, so please contact us for more details. Whole venue bookings will have access to our DJ equipment, a 150-inch screen for projections, two wireless microphones, a spotlight and a stage, as well as our food and beverage menu. There are no hidden costs or hire fees, so come down here and do you, babes.
Party Tables
At Evie's, we can cater for groups of 10–200 people and you can expect an unforgettable night out. Whether it's a birthday, engagement or a full-blown show, we've got you covered. SMALL GROUPS Groups of up to 40 -50 people are accommodated at the party tables around the dance floor, which can be booked with no cost or obligation for a minimum spend. This is perfect for any special event like a birthdays, girls night out, boys night out, team get togethers, or just because you’re boujee and organised. Guests can choose to order a la carte from our diner inspired menu or pre-order food with our events team.
The Mezzanine
Our mezzanine level is perfect for parties of up to 80 people. This area is located up above Evie's famous dance floor and can be booked exclusively. We had a booking for my sister's hen's night in less than a month. Got a phone call that they were cancelling the booking as they are no longer hosting any hen's groups.. Made it very stressful to have to organise another event for 20 people. I understand some people/groups can be difficult however, I felt that they should have honored previous bookings. Very disappointing as we were really looking forward to this event.

Evies bar is a nice little spot to have a drink. The bar lady was welcoming. I had the delight of ordering a home-made mulled wine. The serving was a generous cup and warmed my bones on a cold winters night. The toilets were clean.

Went for bottomless drag brunch/bingo for a friend’s birthday and had a great time. Winifred is a great queen, and very friendly and entertaining. I did think the portion size on our package was a bit small, but it was nice. A lot of drinks included in the bottomless deals, including mimosas, wine, beers, and seltzers, I would say to make sure you go up to the bar to get more drinks and not just to utilise the ones on the table to get your moneys worth. A good event for an occasion such as a birthday party or a hen do perhaps, or even just a day out. Would come back

We had our wedding afterparty at Evie’s Disco Diner and it was honestly the perfect choice. The team were so accommodating in the lead-up, making everything super easy to organise and taking on board what we wanted for the night. On the night, the service was fantastic everything ran smoothly and the staff were friendly, relaxed, and on top of everything. It created such a fun, easygoing vibe for us and our guests to just enjoy the party. Such a great spot for an afterparty – highly recommend! 💃✨
