Reviews for Henry and The Fox

Henry and the Fox has a really nice Melbourne CBD feel to it — polished enough for a proper lunch or dinner but still relaxed. I liked the atmosphere in there, especially how it gets a bit livelier as the day goes on. The food was solid, portions were generous and everything came out quickly. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a casual catch-up as it does for a meal with a few drinks. Would definitely go back.

Did the wagyu whey and wine event here and it was INCREDIBLE. I do particularly love wagyu, wine and cheese, but the whole event was so good. The food was delicious with great attention to detail. I couldn’t even finish the wagyu pie I was so full, but I did try my best to have some of the incredible cheese board at the end. The wines were so good, we got a small glass of 5 different wines included, the cheapest of which was $79 a bottle so they were excellent wines! And paired beautifully with the food. There was talks explaining each wine and food, and a great social atmosphere. We had a great time and left full, happy and tipsy!! Would definitely recommend. We’ve done a few events at Henry and the Fox and always enjoyed them. Where else does food and wine of that quality for just over $100 a ticket? Exceptional value.

Lovely restaurant with knowledgeable and friendly staff. We attended the Saturday afternoon Whey wine and wagyu event And had a great time. Being vegetarian they changed each course for me which was very much appreciated and the food was very tasty. Have already booked to do the next Saturday afternoon tasting!!

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Overall, I was very satisfied. One thing that bothered me, however, was a possible difference in our tastes. The pasta lacked salt and only tasted like the oil from the salmon and butter, so it wasn't very good. Unfortunately, we had to leave that dish unfinished. I brought this up to the staff, but they only told me they would check with the chef, and we never received any feedback.

Happy hour prices are great, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the service was friendly. Great place to catch up with friends after work. Will definitely come back.
