Caught up with 2 work colleagues for lunch at the Imperial at their rooftop dining area which has uninterrupted views of the Victorian State Parliament Building. Great Melbourne CBD location of the hotel which is well fitted out with plenty of drinking and dining areas for patrons. We ordered and had 3x seperate meals which were well presented on the plate and all delicious. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Was here for a meeting and what a great place for a meeting! Nice old pub conveniently located opposite Parliament House. Then after meeting had a drink downstairs and staff came around with free food as they had over catered for a function. So thank you Imperial for the free hot chips! Also great range of old black and white photos. 13.6.26 here for a function and had some delicious food!

Lovely experience at the Imperial Hotel. We visited the Imperial on Mother's Day at about 3:30pm, following a performance of The Book of Mormon, on at the Princess Theatre which is just a few steps away on Spring Street. We made a booking a few days beforehand and requested the first floor dining area for a bit of quiet, knowing the football would be shown downstairs in the bar area. It was very nice upstairs and we could hear none of the noise from downstairs, including the protest going on out the front of Parliament (which we discovered upon leaving). Our party of four had the following meals: Roast Beef, Chicken Parma, Chicken Schnitzel and Fish & Chips. All very delicious meals and would highly recommend for a fair dinkum pub meal in the city :-)

We recently held a work dinner at the Imperial Hotel, and it exceeded every expectation. From our very first enquiry, the entire process was seamless, and the team was an absolute pleasure to work with. Planning the event was enjoyable because nothing was ever too much trouble. The team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, making the whole experience stress-free. When we arrived, our event manager, Ella, was exceptional. She made us feel genuinely welcome and ensured everything ran smoothly, regularly checking in to make sure we were happy throughout the evening. The food was delicious, the private dining space was perfect for our group, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we wouldn’t hesitate to host another event at the Imperial Hotel. Highly recommend!

We were visiting from the Gold Coast and enjoyed lunch at this hotel before our show. The atmosphere was great. Food was amazing. Honestly best steak sandwich I’ve ever had … and it wasn’t mooing as I requested!! Perfectly cooked. Staff were wonderful and happy. Amazingly I discovered on arrival it was the pub my now deceased brother used to work at probably 40 years ago!!
