About the venue
On our stunning top floor, guests are enveloped in natural skylight pouring in through the expansive glass windows. Exposed bricks and high ceilings create a majestic atmosphere that is completed by an impressive marble bar situated right at the center of the room - perfect for both intimate gatherings and corporate events alike.
Our charming space is adorned with five spacious booths and two exquisite marble tables, ideal for, cocktail parties, leisurely brunch catch-ups or buffet-style finger food. In addition, we can accommodate up to 30 people in our banquet seating area. Our top level may be hired exclusively and comfortably fits parties of 120 guests while providing a lovely balcony overlooking the vibrant Little Collins Street below. For more intimate gatherings of 10 or fewer attendees, we provide access to our Mezzanine - an incredible vantage point just next to the DJ booth above the bustling ground floor.
Our base camp is the perfect venue for your intimate cocktail party of up to 55 guests. Our menu blends both the Thai and Australian cultures, allowing for an informal yet delightful dining experience. We are the place to be for banquets, a la carte dinners, and bottomless brunches that show off our beautiful, authentic Thai food menu. Equipped with a variety of high-top tables, we guarantee you and your guests will have an amazing time!

I visited Magic Mountain Saloon for their Tuesday/Wednesday $25 Steak All Day special, which comes with steak, crispy potatoes and a salad. Starting with the steak, you could tell the cut itself was on the more affordable end, but credit to the kitchen—they cooked it about as well as it could have been. The texture was good, and it was prepared properly for the quality of the meat. The dish is dressed with a Thai-style fish sauce dressing over both the steak and salad. It was definitely an interesting choice. Personally, I found it quite intense, with the fish sauce dominating the flavour profile. If you’re into bold Thai-style flavours you’ll probably enjoy it more than I did, but for my palate it was a little overwhelming. That said, I still enjoyed the overall dish. The standout for me was easily the crispy potatoes. Around three-quarters of them were perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and genuinely delicious. The remaining pieces were mostly crispy edges without much potato inside, but the good ones were so well done that they were easily the highlight of the meal. The salad was fresh and complemented the dish nicely, and the service throughout the meal was friendly and attentive. Overall, for a $25 steak special, I thought it was good value. While the steak itself wasn’t a premium cut, it was cooked well, the potatoes were excellent, and the service made for an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic authentic Thai. A deceptively large venue spread over 3 levels. Great range of tap beers, delicious menu. Staff are attentive, friendly and professional. Service was fast and plates were plentiful. I’m here on a Saturday afternoon, but there is a great vibe and plenty of people about. Food delicious, venue clean, staff great. Tick in every box. I’ll be back.

Food was okay, the lady got us the wrong order and kept insisting it’s the right one. We initially ordered a curry roti but only received a plain roti. We finally talked to another waitress and she confirmed that we got the wrong item that we originally ordered! So it’s definitely quite memorable haha

We had an absolutely delicious meal for our group booking a couple of weeks ago. The banquet food was sumptuous and accommodated for our vegetarians perfectly. The staff were super friendly and helpful, particularly Georgia, she is memorable for her efforts to make us feel welcomed and helped us with our tight timing of getting to The Book of Mormans on time! Thanks heaps for a great experience 🙏

Wow. Their Steak is absolutely superb and for $25 with coleslaw and smashed potato, it’s a winner. I’m keen to try out their $1 dumplings in my next visit.
