Munich Brauhaus is a slice Oktoberfest, and Munich, in Melbourne. All year round. All 365 days of the year. For those who've lamented the lack of German beer halls in Melbourne, the time for lamenting is now officially over. Across multiple bars and multiple levels, Munich Brauhaus brings the delicious beer-loving vibes, hearty food and sense of a good time that you'd expect with an Oktoberfest celebration. It's worth noting the venue's size: the Wunderbar (a sprawling and high-ceilinged dining hall) fits up to 600 guests standing, or 300 seated. For smaller events, the Uber Bar fits up to 60 guests, and the King Ludwig Mezzanine for a slightly more private space – for events of up to 150 guests. And the spaces themselves? They befit the stylish South Wharf location, with loads of natural light, blonde wood, greenery, and definite hunting lodge hints.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The German sausage platter was delicious, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The pretzels were just as impressive, soft, fresh and exactly what you want alongside a good beer. Speaking of which, the beer selection was top notch and poured beautifully. Service was really good, friendly and efficient even though the place was packed at the other end. We were lucky with our spot, which made it comfortable and easy to enjoy the atmosphere. The QR code ordering system is brilliant, it makes everything simple and quick without the usual wait times. Being able to control the music was a great touch as well and added something a bit different to the experience. Will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere/ band was great. Drinks are great especially the German beers. Service was good staff went MIA when it got busy so we went to bar for drinks no biggy. Paid $10 for a special birthday greeting for our kids 18 but it was just them being called on stage - nothing worth paying for as anyone could put their hand up to say they were celebrating and go up on stage. Pretzel and schnitzel were lovely. Pork belly on the tasting plate was a really bad cut with too much fat and not cooked properly so it was inedible. Pork knuckle looked good but was a huge disappointment and also not a great dining experience. Credit to the staff they acknowledged there was an issue with the pork knuckle and removed it from the bill. If you looking for a good time with a few beers and a good Schnitty this is your spot. Anything more than that you will be disappointed.

Such a lovely place! it feels incredibly cozy even when it’s busy. Perfect whether you’re there as a couple or with a big group. The food was really delicious too. The bar staff were especially great: friendly, happy to recommend drinks, and always up for a chat.

Had lunch here, and as a German-bred boy I am delighted to say that they nailed the sauerkraut. Food was great overall as was the beer, but not cheap of course. Worth it though. The music coming through the speakers didn't, at first, have a German vibe, but later on it did. A lovely experience definitely worthy of recommendation.

Bliss Bliss Bliss the food is extraordinary absolute perfection the service fantastic, friendly informative helpful wonderful, the building asthetics space brilliant. We can not speak too highly of our experience it was brilliant (our tummies are bursting but omg so happy) next time we are in Victoria we will be back, thankyou so much to all 🙂
