Me and my partner love pirate life. Whether it’s for casual drinks or a meal it works for every occasion. Every time the service is impeccable, the staff are nice and attentive. Our favourite night is Thursday steak day, followed closely by free pot (brewers shout) Wednesdays. We’ve tried a few different steak nights around South Melbourne and this is my favourite one for $25 it’s such good quality! I need to try more of their meals but their snacks are also delicious.

Lovely staff. The guy who showed us to our table was absolutely hilarious. We rocked up on steak night and the vibes were vibing. Everything we ordered was spot on: the flatbread, the octopus, and of course the steak and frites. Such a great night all around!

Pirate Life South Melbourne is an absolute must-visit! The service is exceptional, with incredibly friendly staff who make you feel right at home. And the food? Simply divine. The tender, succulent steak was perfect, and the amazing sides were equally delicious. Seriously, if you're looking for fantastic food, drinks and outstanding hospitality, you need to check this place out. Highly recommended!

Had the roast pork belly on the Sunday roast menu, and enjoyed the gravy and flavours. However, I found the dish wasn't served as hot as I'd liked and since the gravy was spread thin on the base of the plate, it got cold very quickly. I would suggest serving the gravy separately on the side so that it can stay warm longer.
