Small museum located on the Uni of Melbourne campus. Astonishing exhibitions on in August 2025... 65,000 years - A short history of Australian Art.. looking a First Nation's Art and artifact.. and how it has always been an expression of culture. Just a reminder the museum opens at 11 am

the 65000 exhibition is absolutely stunning,a must go! Honestly I genuinely loved this exhibition. The works felt sincere, raw, powerful, and unpretentious. There is a large portion on Indigenous women artists and women’s themes, which made the experience even more meaningful. Each room had a clear theme, and the layout of the space beautifully complemented the artworks — everything felt so harmonious and thoughtfully presented. The visual beauty of the exhibition was matched by the depth of information: the text was sharp, insightful, and direct, while the use of sound — whether voiceovers or ambient audio — was captivating and immersive. I felt deeply touched while walking through the exhibition. It was powerful, yet strangely familiar — a kind of integrated, emotional experience that really stays with you. The room guide qr codes are also very helpful and easy to use! Highly recommended!! (Wish there were postcards for sale:)) Will vist again for a more careful look!!! And thank you so much for all of these! 特别好特别喜欢😭

I love it to be here, the place is very comfortable and has a complete collection. I found that there is a connection between the indigenous people with Indonesian Culture in Celebes island.

65,000 years: A Short History of Australia. A must see exhibition. It's an expressive, artistically curated collection that highlights Australia's short history and Indigenous peoples creative and innovative way to survive.

Arriving through the newly redeveloped entrance of the Potter Museum of Art, guests are welcomed by the striking architectural brilliance of Wood Marsh Architects. Bold concrete columns and dramatic black volumes create a sophisticated contrast against crisp white walls and polished floors. This contemporary space sets the scene for celebrations that demand something extraordinary.
