Stovetop is a stylish café offering a typical Melbourne brunch menu with some Asian, Italian and middle-eastern touches and a cabinet of sweet and savoury croissants, sandwiches, pies and slices. I had the benny that was light and tasty. The long black was dark and bitter - in a good way. The service very attentive and friendly. A nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating options.

It’s the best place for breakfast, and the scrambled eggs are made with love—absolutely delicious. The tea, served in a traditional teapot, is not to be missed. I highly recommend this spot and will visit again. Special thanks to Mr. Elyas for the warm greetings and hospitality.

Amazing cafe in Carlton with great menu. Super friendly staff. Coffee is well balanced. I recommend the Chermoula Mushrooms. Great place for brunch or lunch.

I celebrated my 30th birthday and my business turning one at The Stovetop, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. With just a week’s notice, the team went above and beyond to organise everything flawlessly. The atmosphere was so welcoming, the customer service was exceptional, and the staff were attentive to every single detail — they truly didn’t let me lift a finger all night. My friends and I had the most amazing time. I can’t recommend this place enough and will absolutely be hosting all my future events here!

Whist I was getting a coffee, a man who I assume is the owner, was speaking absolutely awfully to staff. He was grilling a poor worker over not noticing that two customers had just sat down. The poor worker looked so embarrassed and terrified. I spent years working in hospo and I know the weight these interactions can have on someone. Although this cafe is the closest to my classes, I will never be returning. Absolutely horrible, do better- treat your staff better.
