I recently visited The Hardware Club with a friend to celebrate our birthdays, and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and genuinely lovely, making us feel special throughout the evening. The food was excellent, the wine was delicious, and everything was presented beautifully. One of the standout touches was the thoughtfulness of the team. They took a Polaroid photo of us, gave us a handwritten card, and surprised us with a complimentary tiramisu to celebrate our birthdays. It was these little details that made the experience feel so memorable and personal. My only small criticism would be that the tables are positioned quite close together, so it was easy to overhear conversations from neighbouring tables. However, this didn't take away from what was otherwise a fantastic dining experience. A beautiful venue with exceptional hospitality, delicious food, and thoughtful touches that make you feel truly valued as a guest. I would highly recommend The Hardware Club for a special occasion or simply a lovely night out.

All the chefs here deserve thousands of raviolis to fall into their pocketioli. This is honestly the best Italian restaurant in Melbourne, and I think we should gatekeep this one👨🍳🍝 (because I said so) My tastes are the best and therefore all the dishes selected by me were perfect and free from any faults. The flavours complimented each other very well, along with contrasts in textures. Service was attentive, but not too overbearing. Nice little groovy Italian music going on, everything was just great. 🤌 Order the: “Frutti di Mare” croquette with crab, squid ink, lobster butter & chilli mayo 🦞🦑🧈🌶️ Flatbread, smoked scamorza, housemade habanero honey, pancetta 🥓🍯 Brussel sprouts, Tuna-caper mayo “Tonnato”, cumin and coriander spice mix 🥦 Sticky lamb skewer, creamy parmigiano potato, gremolata & pickled fennel 🥩🥔 Spaghetti Assassina, crispy very spicy, charred yesterday’s sugo with mozzarella 🧀🌶️ My entire time here was spent waiting for the shelved butternut squash 🎃 to fall on someone’s head, but that never happened :/
